I was randomly given an EV. I was asked to pay $27 for the convenience of having them charge it on the return rather than me “spending 3-4 hours charging it.” I was renting the car to get from the Orlando airport to Vero Beach and turning it in there, so I agreed to the charge. When I drove out of the parking garage, I saw that it only had 5% battery left. I drove right back to the drop off and asked what to do. I was told to park the car and go to the on site office. There I was told I needed a verification number that I had turned the car in. No apology for my inconvenience. So I walked back to the drop off area (again with my luggage) to find someone to grove me the required number. Got the number and went back to the office (with my luggage). A lovely lady said she would give me the same car, but it would be a hybrid. I asked if I could get a refund on the $27 charge for the electric charging and that I would fill the gas before returning the car. I was told no. She said, however, that since I had already paid the $27, it would only cost me $8 more for the convenience of having Hertz fill up the car when I dropped it off 1-1/2 hours later. I got to my destination without further incident, but 2 hours later than planned.

The staff at the local Hertz franchise are mediocre at best. The worst part of this experience is that this local Hertz location does not have a local working telephone number - therefore communicating with these folks was quite the challenge when attempting to call . NEVER AGAIN ! Not Hertz or KAYAK

They accused me of damage that I did not cause. There were several additional charges beyond what I expected to pay. The car itself was fine, but the overall experience was worse than I've had with other companies.

You said they were renting me a Tesla. They never had or will have a Tesla at that location for rental. They provided me the least expensive car they had after waiting for a return. Bait and Switch. I paid for gas for no reason, I ordered electric. They blame you, you blame them. I want a full refund. I DID NOT RECEIVE TESLA YOU RENTED ME AND CHARGED ME.

A line was a little long during pick up, everything else was good!

We pre checked in so we wouldn’t have to wait in line and still had to stand in line for 2 hours. They didn’t have enough staff and not enough cars. Wasted an afternoon of what should’ve been vacation time with my family.
