Pros: The staff was friendly and professional at both Boston and Trenton. I encountered some issues locating the proper pick up and drop off locations, otherwise everything went fine.Cons: A better description of the pickup location (in this case, which floor and building at Logan Airport) and how to drop off the car (in this case, that you have to get a ticket at the Trenton Airport parking lot and then bring it, the keys, and the mileage to the counter)

Pros: The staff at the drop off and pick up were excellent. Very friendly and helpful.Cons: When I picked up the car the "Low Tire Pressure" light was on. I figured I would just add air to the tire, when I got to my destination. The next day the tire pressure was down to 16lbs of pressure. I observed a slow leak in the tire. I then drove to the Enterprise office, where they told me they had no other cars to give me. The Enterprise employee (who was very helpful) arranged for a car to be towed from another facility. After sitting in the car and waiting for three hours the car arrived. I don't blame the employee, she was excellent. I can't believe that Enterprise depletes inventory of vehicles, in case something occurs. If this occurred after hours, no vehicle would have been provided until the next day.

They asked if I needed any help with directions and were supportive.Cons: The Enterprise front desk personnel answered my yes or no payment question very round about and I had to ask several times to get a straight answer. But they were friendly and helpful overall.

Pros: The car was clean and had plenty of bells and whistles. The process was fast and simple.Cons: Because of COVID, I was hoping for plates from New England. There was exactly one car available at my reserved price point and it had New York plates. There were plenty of cars if I cared to move up to the next level. This seemed planned.

Cons: At pickup we were told by the Enterprise attendant that we had to use the automatic toll pay system that was installed in the vehicle whenever we came to a toll booth. That the toll system was all automatic and we could not pay cash, and the devise in the car would automatically pay the toll and the amount of the toll would be added to our bill. Plus Enterprise would tack on an ADDITIONAL $4 Every time we used the device. It was NOT true that we could not pay cash. We disabled the device and were able to pay cash at every toll booth location and we avoided the additional $4 Enterprise charge at each toll booth. Is it Enterprise policy to deceive their customers in this manor, or only a misinformed employee?

Pros: When we got to Logan to get our car, they didn't have the SUV I reserved ready but the staff was very polite, apologetic and attentive. After a few minutes one of the attendants checked in with me again and said, they were cleaning our car but he had a pickup truck that was ready to go. It was bigger, clean and completely tricked out. It had tons of space for all of our luggage and the cab was really comfortable. Such a great job by the staff to treat us well and figure out a solution. Thanks thanks thanks.

Pros: The staff at both pickup and drop-off could not have been more helpful and friendly. In Boston, I enjoyed the holiday attire everyone was wearing. I fell in love with the Audi I rented - I hated to return it. Also, having a transponder for the tolls already in the car was a great convenience and the daily charge is minimal.Cons: The car is very technical and it took me a long time to figure out all the buttons, even putting the car in Park was a challenge - and I rent frequently. Thank goodness there was a manual in the glove compartment.

Pros: I liked that I ultimately was given a much better vehicle than they originally wanted to rent to me. That made up for the experience and made the drive more comfortable and enjoyable.Cons: Confusing check-in process on-site--pick up location was inside a parking garage that had lots of construction happening and, thus, was not the easiest to navigate when arriving in another (personal) vehicle. Also, I rented from Alamo and wen to stand at that Kiosk but the service agent snipped at me when I didn't understand that she was telling me to come wait in her Enterprise line. These are miniscule to the fact that they tried to give me an SUV that looked like it had been in an accident - it had a noticeable misalignment on the front bumper but, what 'takes the cake' is that, inside the vehicle, the entire interior ceiling was detaching from the vehicle/frame, including the electrical column on the ceiling that had exposed wiring for the overhead lights and such. The SUV also looked visibly dated. It was so bizarre. The clerk was going to rent me the vehicle having noted the misalignment but I am so glad I pointed out the stuff she missed on the inside because no one should be driving that SUV! After this point, her demeanor changed and not only was she nicer but she got me out of there quick. So, the SUV I ended up getting was much nicer but, as they were originally just backing this one into a stall from the 'returns' area, the replacement SUV was very clearly just returned and had not been cleaned, sanitized (these are COVID-19 times), or thoroughly checked, once the rental was in my hands my S.O. and I pulled over to the side, cleaned and sanitized the entire thing (can't be too careful nowadays). Anyway, it pays to pay attention and look the car over yourself both with the agent there as well as before you drive away.

Pros: The first car I got in ran like it was missing spark plugs, and there was a woman’s purse and gloves that had been left in the backseat. The second car ran fine, when I got to my hotel and uncle Jed my seatbelt I noticed someone’s mask wrapped around the buckle.Cons: Neither car had been cleaned. Which should never be the case, but particularly when we are in the midst of a pandemic. Clean the vehicle thoroughly.

Cons: I remember picking up rental cars years ago when they were actually washed, this apparently is NO longer the case! I have taken my last 5 rentals to a car wash myself! The interiors also leave much to be desired, found a cigarette butt in the door well of my last rental! I also disinfected the interior myself because it certainly didn’t seem that it had been done? Changing times :(

Pros: Pick up was fastCons: Well the car smelt horrible of cigarette smoke. Gave my boyfriend and I a headache every time we wanted to go somewhere which was all the time. Which there’s a no smoking policy so how does this happen? And it was way too expensive. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get in until midnight but still had to pay for a whole day and then we dropped the car off around 5am which we were charged another whole day. $300 for 5 days with 2 days that were barely used. Never again.

Cons: Didn’t have my car ready for pick-up, and I pre-paid for gas and Alamo still charged me as if I didn’t. Still dealing with them over this. Also, 1 congress st in Boston is EXTREMELY hard to pick-up from and drop-off. Added at least an additional 15 min on both pick-up and drop-off d/t construction in the parking garage. Definitely was not a smooth process and I was over an hour late bc of the above issues. Will not be using them again

Pros: Nothing, except drop off was easyCons: They gave me a car with low tire pressure & they wouldn’t fill it up. The car was dirty and smelled horrible. They put on my rental agreement the gas was full when it was under halfway - I had to go back inside to get them to change it and they gave me attitude. The Dorchester location has the worst staff, they didn’t want to help me and brushed every request I asked for. The cars truck wouldn’t even open without automatically closing.

Pros: Nothing.Cons: The company did not honor my advanced booking. They created an entirely different reservation and used my Kayak booking as a voucher, and they didn’t honor my purchase of insurance. I had to pay an additional $123 (on top of $200 holding) where I was told that I would have no further payment on pickup. Could not have had a worse experience.

Pros: After waiting in line at the Avis counter at the BOS airport, the Avis associate indicated that my pick up location was the location downtown not the airport. I had indicated on my Kayak search that I wanted BOS airport but I suppose I didn't look at the details to see that it was the location on Atlantic Ave. Not a huge deal but did have to get an Uber (or could have ridden the blue line) to get to the downtown location. Upon picking up the car on the 7th floor of the parking garage there was 1 woman working who we had to yell out for because nobody seemed to be around. She came from behind another vehicle and was on a personal phone call and had to tell the person on the phone that she'd "call you back because I have a customer". Not a huge deal I suppose but not the greatest of customer service that the person on the counter downstairs should have called up to the 7th floor to indicate we were coming. The car on the other hand smelled like marijuana inside. Not completely reeking of it but definitely could tell someone had smoked in it somewhat recently. I indicated this to the woman upstairs who said that she would note it and credit my account however nothing has come through indicating any credit. We were in a hurry because of the location mix up so didn't have time to potentially swap cars and the woman did not offer that up any way.

Cons: We had a family Medical Emergency (father had to be airlifted from Marthas Vineyard Hospital to Boston for emergency surgery) and had to drop off our rental car at Oak Bluffs Marthas Vineyard instead of Hyanis Port. Also, there is no organization and the lot is very small with too many cars! You have to remove 1 car and then go find parking for it on the street and then get the car you rented out. Cons: The toll package is crazy, we paid $1 to get out of Massachusetts, coming back in we hit that toll with no cash, but it’s only 1.50 it’s a really bad place to have a toll and it should just be included! Especially since there is a toll receiver on the car.

Pros: Staff were lovely but Kayak said it was $144 when it was $557. They missold me insurance for $11 a day that turned out to be invalid on Thrifty’s cars. It was a criminal transaction all around.Cons: Be honest for god’s same you criminals. Everything was sold incorrectly from the day rate of rental to the insurance to the type of car. I was flabbergasted at your behaviour.

When we got to the kiosk our car (a car) was not there waiting for us. The two attendants had to go get one from a different deck. We lucked out though and got the Rogue which we loved.

We showed up after making a reservation almost A MONTH in advance (in order to fit our budget) and were told the day we came for the rental that we'd be charged hundreds of dollars more so that I could also drive on the reservation I'd made on my spouse's credit card -- something that has NEVER happened with other rental companies. Pros: The vehicle was given to us in a very unsafe condition. The front tires were completely bald, one came apart while we were driving, stranding us in Bangor, Maine early on a Sunday morning. We spent 2.5 hours on hold on the phone trying to get roadside service. No one ever came on the line. Three times we were disconnected and had to get in the cue again. We finished our 1,200 mile trip with no spare and a bad tire in both rain and snow. I travel extensively and will never use Dollar again,Cons: Better maintenance and customer service.

Pros: Drop off and pick up was really easy! The car was clean on the inside. I felt like I got a good value for the price.Cons: I was charged a $200 deposit and I wasn't warned. I couldn't use my credit card because it had my maiden name and my ID had my married name. So I had to use my bank card. A surprise $200 hold on my bank card wasn't a pleasant surprise.

Pros: Upgraded from compact car to a Mitsubishi Outlander, which was the only positive of our experience.Cons: 20+ minute wait in line at Boston Logan, on top of 40+ minutes just for the associate to help us?!!! Their name tag said they’d been there for 15 years, but they were slow as molasses and had no care for us and did not make me feel valued. There were no Payless reps at their airport (what?!!!), so a random other person had to try and come help. When we FINALLY got our car over an hour later, we drove it 2 miles only to have an emergency notification come on saying “Pull over safely. Car will stop soon” WTF?! So we drove back, got back in line and waited 40+ minutes to be helped by another terrible associate who didn’t care about us. Once we finally got our second car, it was 2+ hours later and no one even apologized for the inconvenience. I already called customer service, and they said “oh okay we will get back to you in a minimum of 5 days”

It took forever to get a customer service rep on the phone, I filed a complaint, and all I received in response was an e-mail saying they were sorry they had disappointed me.

Pros: The staff was fine and gave me an upgrade to a larger vehicle at the same rate, which was nice.Cons: There were literally more than $84 in after-booking fees above and beyond the advertised total price, before including the optional insurance and toll pass -- in the end I paid three times the advertised price. Customer service was also very slow, not that I begrudge the employees there, just they were very understaffed. The car smelled like cigarette smoke that had been poorly covered up with cologne.

Cons: Our flight was changed to a red eye. Arrived at 5:30 am in Boston. Counter not scheduled to open until 7:00 am. At 7 , no one showed up. Waited 30 minutes before an Avis representative took pity on us. He, some how, was able to process our rental. At return there was no representative in the garage, only at the counter inside.

Pros: Unfortunately, there was no chance for me to like anything as E-Z did not have my reservation on file. I spent over an hour at the counter looking to see if the order was wrongfully placed for a different day, if it was set for a different pickup location, or if the rental company had been changed (I individually checked with Alamo, Advantage, Hertz, Enterprise, and more) to unfortunately find out there no company had my reservation on file. By the time the entire ordeal was done, and the option was to reserve a new car, we were so late that we decided to completely change plans and not rent a car for the day. This put extreme stress on myself with family visiting town and I am incredibly frustrated with this experience. Please contact me at mpbrooks16@gmail.com or (708) 212-6034 to advise next steps - I kindly ask to be refunded for both the car rental and the insurance policy as neither were used.

Pros: Staff at counter was good, requested a vehicle with "in" state tags. Was told the vehicle had "Massachusetts tags".... it did not, then the gentleman in garage fought with me when I got to the vehicle with "Virginia tags!!!"..... He was very rude and he had 6 vehicles of same model with "Massachusetts tags" but wouldn't let me switch!!!! Ridiculous.....Cons: Using another rental company bc upon returning the vehicle I couldnt find anyone to check me out???? So I proceeded to the rental counter and NO ONE there either at 730am in the morning, it's been a few days and yet to recieve my receipt..... Last time I will use a second rate rental company, I travel for a living and if your a businessman dont use EZ car rentals!!!!

I also appreciated the man who checked the car out and was careful and helpfulCons: The counter staff were rude and simply did not care. They blamed me for missing the counter sign and could not have been more dismissive and unhelpful. With that attitude, I will avoid EZ rental in the future.

I asked about specials; I was told I could upgrade for $45 but was not told that was based on $15 per day. My total was greater than $45. I want a refund for the overage. Returning the car was super simple.

Pros: They had issues with their credit card reader/computer and I had to wait for them to call my credit card company to verify it. This was at 1100pm after a long day of travel.... so it was a little annoying.Cons: The car was pretty beat up on the exterior and interior. Good news was they didn’t charge me for the condition of the car. I would have spent most of the rest of night circling things on the form otherwise.

National has only 2 other available cars in the area and was trying to make me pay regular price for the other cars despite not having or being able to honor my reservation. Was told the local regional manager would call me and I am still waiting for their call. Will not be renting w national again and cannot trust that reservations made on this website will be honored moving forwardCons: Honor reservation. Have rental car available if there is a booked reservation. Do not falsely sell these reservations if the company cannot honor them. Very disappointed all together

Cons: Left iPad in glove compartment. When I returned to the car rental area the iPad hadn't been handed in to the manager or lost property after the car was cleaned which was disappointing. I couldn't check car myself as it had been rented out even though I had returned within 3 hours of having left the car back
