Pros: When we got to Logan to get our car, they didn't have the SUV I reserved ready but the staff was very polite, apologetic and attentive. After a few minutes one of the attendants checked in with me again and said, they were cleaning our car but he had a pickup truck that was ready to go. It was bigger, clean and completely tricked out. It had tons of space for all of our luggage and the cab was really comfortable. Such a great job by the staff to treat us well and figure out a solution. Thanks thanks thanks.

Pros: The staff at both pickup and drop-off could not have been more helpful and friendly. In Boston, I enjoyed the holiday attire everyone was wearing. I fell in love with the Audi I rented - I hated to return it. Also, having a transponder for the tolls already in the car was a great convenience and the daily charge is minimal.Cons: The car is very technical and it took me a long time to figure out all the buttons, even putting the car in Park was a challenge - and I rent frequently. Thank goodness there was a manual in the glove compartment.

Pros: I liked that I ultimately was given a much better vehicle than they originally wanted to rent to me. That made up for the experience and made the drive more comfortable and enjoyable.Cons: Confusing check-in process on-site--pick up location was inside a parking garage that had lots of construction happening and, thus, was not the easiest to navigate when arriving in another (personal) vehicle. Also, I rented from Alamo and wen to stand at that Kiosk but the service agent snipped at me when I didn't understand that she was telling me to come wait in her Enterprise line. These are miniscule to the fact that they tried to give me an SUV that looked like it had been in an accident - it had a noticeable misalignment on the front bumper but, what 'takes the cake' is that, inside the vehicle, the entire interior ceiling was detaching from the vehicle/frame, including the electrical column on the ceiling that had exposed wiring for the overhead lights and such. The SUV also looked visibly dated. It was so bizarre. The clerk was going to rent me the vehicle having noted the misalignment but I am so glad I pointed out the stuff she missed on the inside because no one should be driving that SUV! After this point, her demeanor changed and not only was she nicer but she got me out of there quick. So, the SUV I ended up getting was much nicer but, as they were originally just backing this one into a stall from the 'returns' area, the replacement SUV was very clearly just returned and had not been cleaned, sanitized (these are COVID-19 times), or thoroughly checked, once the rental was in my hands my S.O. and I pulled over to the side, cleaned and sanitized the entire thing (can't be too careful nowadays). Anyway, it pays to pay attention and look the car over yourself both with the agent there as well as before you drive away.

Pros: The first car I got in ran like it was missing spark plugs, and there was a woman’s purse and gloves that had been left in the backseat. The second car ran fine, when I got to my hotel and uncle Jed my seatbelt I noticed someone’s mask wrapped around the buckle.Cons: Neither car had been cleaned. Which should never be the case, but particularly when we are in the midst of a pandemic. Clean the vehicle thoroughly.

Pros: Staff at Alamo pick up location were amazing and the customer service for extending the rental by one day was superb. Could not have had a better, smoother experience.

Cons: I remember picking up rental cars years ago when they were actually washed, this apparently is NO longer the case! I have taken my last 5 rentals to a car wash myself! The interiors also leave much to be desired, found a cigarette butt in the door well of my last rental! I also disinfected the interior myself because it certainly didn’t seem that it had been done? Changing times :(

Pros: Pick up was fastCons: Well the car smelt horrible of cigarette smoke. Gave my boyfriend and I a headache every time we wanted to go somewhere which was all the time. Which there’s a no smoking policy so how does this happen? And it was way too expensive. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get in until midnight but still had to pay for a whole day and then we dropped the car off around 5am which we were charged another whole day. $300 for 5 days with 2 days that were barely used. Never again.

Cons: Didn’t have my car ready for pick-up, and I pre-paid for gas and Alamo still charged me as if I didn’t. Still dealing with them over this. Also, 1 congress st in Boston is EXTREMELY hard to pick-up from and drop-off. Added at least an additional 15 min on both pick-up and drop-off d/t construction in the parking garage. Definitely was not a smooth process and I was over an hour late bc of the above issues. Will not be using them again
