Cons:The address listed on my reservation was old . I wasted 30 min taking an uber to come to a different location once I found that the original location listed on my reservation is moved to a new location

Cons:I can accurately rate this—they never showed up to pick me up. I waited a half hour for the shuttle and finally had to rent another car because I had a meeting in another town. I sincerely hope they didn’t charge my credit card.

Pros:Drop off was easy
Cons:Pick up was a pain. Staff was incessantly trying to up sell me and would not take no for an answer. They were very deceitful in trying to upgrade cars and force gas agreements as well as their own insurance. I was given a quote to upgrade my car at 3 different rates. The first was as good as they could do and a great deal. Then a special discount just for me then a a manager approved baseline price that was unbelievably good.. it was all bogus and then just being a pain to pull more money out of each rental reservation. I have rented from many companies and know that they all try to sell their insurance and offer the gas deals, but I have never been hard sold for so many different up sell options. I would avoid AVR and pay way more at any other rental company to not go through the same experience.

Pros:Greeting was very good. Pickup from airport was on time and comfortable. People very friendly. Felt very happy with service. Car was clean.
Cons:Cars very dated. No USB for charging and no Bluetooth. I rented a minivan. After 1 day a tire warning light came on. Couldn't figure out which tire. Kept putting air. Light wouldn't come off. Called roadside assistance and main office on Saturday at 7:30pm. No answer. Even left messages and up to today, 3 days later, no call back. Felt it was too risky to drive an old car. What if I had a problem on the I-10 at night? With kids? No assistance in emergency tells me too risky. Also tried to sell me lots of insurance ahead of time. I returned the car early and rented from Enterprise.

Pros:The van worked as expected, pickup was easy.
Cons:No one was at the site at the time I was supposed to drop of the van. There was someone at the back of the building cleaning vans and he said his boss told him if I customer came in he could take the keys. He also told me it would be able 30 min before someone came back. I couldn’t wait 30 min, so I left the keys with him. I also called and left a message to the number provided saying I was dropping the van off. A day later I received a receipt for that was $110 more than what I was quoted for the vehicle. I was charged extra for cleaning despite the fact that I vacuumed the van before bringing it back it. I’ve tried calling several times and left messages to despite the charge and not one ever answers and no has has called me back. I would definitely not recommend this company for rentals.
