The flight was an hour late due to late arrival on incoming flight. It seems to be the standard for this flight. Checked historical records and you will see that it is usually late. The economy class seating is really tight. The aircraft was really old. The toilets etc. were in pretty bad state. The crew was very average. Have been on flights with better service. None of the "Malaysian Hospitality" that the airline messaging keeps reiterating. Food was a shocker. Asian vegetarian meal -- I would have thought given Malaysian airlines is a an Asian carrier and that the flight was starting from Auckland, where the kitchens I bet would be staffed by asian chefs, what was served was something that a 5 year old would make. It was truly bad. Unfortunately had to bear two of those meals. Only ate a little. Since the flight was late, and there must have been headwinds (or the aircraft was too old to be pushed to make up time), we reached late at Malaysia. Thankfully they held the connecting flight for 50 minutes and I could get to my destination. After I complete my return leg back to Auckland, I think I will prefer not to choose Malaysian Airlines. The only reason to select Malaysian was the great connection between Auckland to Mumbai, with just one hour layover. On balance, the rest of the experience was just a bit too negative to overcome this positive.
I connected to the flight from another one, which was late. They held the plane for 50 minutes. So that was good. Boarding... the speaker at the gate was broken. Could hardly hear anything of the announcements that were being made. I was seated in a front zone, so one of the last to board. There was hardly any space in the overhead compartments. It was full despite the flight not being that full. So clearly they allowed extra cabin baggage for a lot of people (I was not not one of them!) Cabin crew was pleasant and helpful. The seats were the tightest I have ever sat in. I'm of normal height. The seat in front was touching my knees. Exit row seats were empty (more leg room). Upon asking if I can shift there as they are unoccupied, the crew nicely told me that I can relocate to any other seat except the exit seats -- bewildering as everyone had boarded and no one else was going to board. Entertainment system is ok. I didn't use it. The interface was pretty average. The choice of audio/video content was decent. Asian vegetarian meal -- it was a joke. Didn't tast of anything. Better not to eat food, and carry one's own. I saw that some experienced travellers had done that... The baggage came fairly quickly on arrival, so that is a thumbs up.

The flight doesn’t cover food and entertainment since it’s a short flight. My only feedback is the crew members were not really friendly. Probably it’s an early morning flight and it was full flight so everyone was just not in the right frame of mind.
Worst experience ever in the last 20 years.
The flight crew was great.
My flight was delayed, I was issued a new boarding pass for the next day (Dec 18). However, the ticketing system booked me on a separately flight in Dec 17 without my knowledge. The lack of customer care and professionalism remains me of 4th world airlines I have experienced in the past.
It took us 20 mins to disembark after the aircraft was secured at the aero bridge. The reason given was the absence of operator to disengage the door from the outside. Whilst this is the responsibility of KLIA operations, we were not informed of the delay (by the captain) till about 18-min into the 20-min wait. It shows a lack of regard for passengers’ well being as there were many elderly passengers standing patiently waiting to disembark.
The airport staff was less than helpful and the crew did bare minimum. Cheap airline so it reflects on their staff
entertainment should be provided for short flight
don't split baggage allowance from the full price of the air ticket
No food only snacks and drinks and Too short of a flight for any entertainment.
my luggage allowance was only 35kg for a family of 3 pax
no hidden clause for baggage, my family of 3 pax, we only were allowed 35kg of checked luggage.
Nice with new livery
I ve always love flying on @MAS not just because it is my national carrier bit also because of its Malaysian Hospitality
The pilot was very skilful . Excellent landing experience we had. Please improve the food quality and more choices soon.
Checkin at KLIA a breeze. MH Regional Lounge ex KUL a fantastic pit stop for those on the go and shuttle flights conveniently departing from the MTB at KLIA, making the journey extremely efficient. Ground handling team proactive in handling passengers with need of assistance. Coordinated well with aircraft team ahead of main boarding party. Seated at 7F and saw the care and attention paid by luggage loading team - even attending to a piece of luggage that appeared damaged before loading it onboard. Crew are naturally kind and personable - and flight deck announcements professionally made with clarity. Flight handling smooth, perfect touchdown in SIN.
The queue at the gate was very badly managed
Serve more peanuts
Very cramped. Entertainment poor. How about some old classic films
Little choice on entertainment. How about some old classic films.
Very cramped
Love the friendly staff who went out of their way to assist.
Friendly, courteous staff along with luggage handling.
Crew was awesome 🙏
Flight was on time. Food was ok. Seats didn’t have much arm room but was manageable for a short flight.
Rescheduled my flights without asking me. And I am losing money on reservation
Good trip
The flight is awful, food isn’t very tasty or good, entertainment sucks
On board Malaysia Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 56x36x23cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Malaysia Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
