I don't think I've experience this at any airport and I've been to many countries. Also, once "corralled" in your assigned gate, there is limited seating. Getting in and out to go to the bathroom or get something to eat is a hassle. PAL international has it's own terminal (2) but all the airport lounges are in 3 or 1, and you have no access to those terminal once your in 2. Finally, the food option at PAL terminal is awful. For a major Philippines airline, I wish they would upgrade their terminal and make it more appealing for international travelers. For these reasons, I would consider flying another airline from US to Manila, e.g. Cathay Pacific, United, etc."

We went to bed at around 4:45 AM, only to get a wake up call at 7 AM whilst we were not leaving the hotel until 11:00 AM for a 1:30 PM departure! Horrible! We ended up leaving even later, at around 2:30 PM. Throughout, communication from the company was abysmal. Never again Philippine Airlines for me !"

Had this happened in the US, the flight attendants would have told them to sit down, get out of the way, and do their aisle stretching exercises and random meanders around the plane AFTER all passengers had been seated!"

Updates were not provided so you had to sit for hours in the gate listening to constant gate calls for other flights. There is essentially no restaurants on the concourse. Inflight meals were all pay as you go. I was not asked if I wanted a meek, I guess because I wasn't Filipino. Filipinos around me were offered meals. Never again!"

NO FREE BEVERAGE OR SNACKS FOR THE FLIGHT AND EVEN WHEN I ASKED FOR HOT WATER FOR MY BABIES MILK, THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PURCHASE SOMETHING FIRST BEFORE GIVING ME HOT WATER! WHEN I ASKED TO BORROW A PEN THEY ALSO WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THE PEN! MOST RIDICULOUS AIRLINE I HAVE EVER RODE IN. NEVER AGAIN."

Cons: "I don't like the two times charging of check-in baggage. One charge for each way rather than doing a discounted roundtrip charge given the fact the my ticket was a roundtrip one."

Cons: "My flight departed 3 hours late from Manila. There was only a couple centimetres to spare between my knees and the seat in front of me. I am glad the flight was only 1 1/2 hours."
