Comfortable economy seats, good food. Didn't like: there was a crying and noisy 2 yr old directly behind me.. finally I found an attendant and asked for ear plugs. That part was good. It would have been better for an attendant to come around with a basket of ear plugs... All in all it was excellent.

worst experience ever, they cancelled my very long 2 flight 20hours+flying time trip 8 hours before departure. The only options given were change of dates. the customer line was the worst with a wait of around 30 minutes each time you called to talk to an agent who couldnt help much anyways. :eft me scrambling to cancel and book an entirely new itinerary with other airlines. Worst ever and will not consider Cathay pacific anytime in the future

The economy class was entirely too squished. I was OK, but then, when the person in front of me recline their seat, I reclined mine and the man behind me politely asked me not. I was OK as I am only 5’3” but I saw a lot of the taller men not have adequate legroom for a very long plane ride from Vancouver to Singapore. I feel like it is unsafe for people to be that cramped.

The biggest problem was that I originally had a seat in the first row of premium economy as I had booked months earlier. I checked in and my boarding pass showed the seat in the first row as I had specified. When I got to the gate, the agent took my boarding pass and changed my seat to one in the last row in premium economy against the window. I had specifically booked the first row early for the legroom and for my ability to easily get out and use the restroom when I needed, since I do that quite often. The gate agents explanation was that the food tray on the seat in the first row was not working, so they gave me the seat in the last row. However, when I got on the plane, somebody was sitting in my original seat, and they sat there for the whole 14-hour flight with the tray working perfectly well. I was cheated by someone at the Cathay gate in Hong Kong. It was an outright, unforgivable lie by the gate agent or someone else at Cathay Pacific. I think this is very poor and inexcusable conduct by the people at Cathay Pacific. Perhaps somebody paid the gate agent extra money (bribe)to switch my seat and make it very difficult for me, or something else, but t was a sad experience and a very negative mark on Cathay Pacific.

Business class check-in was flawless; was automatically given a lounge voucher. Flight attendants were helpful and professional. There was a purser who introduced herself at the beginning of the flight but then I never saw her again.
