As with every airline I've flown with over the past few years, cabin crew seem to go about their job as though it was a real chore. Gone are the days of cheerful cabin crew. I imagine that it is due to deteriorating work conditions and lack of company loyalty. Let's not talk about the regularly lost bags (ski equipment is always the first to get bumped but if you're going on a skiing holiday, it's pretty important that you get your gear there. Or the outright lies you get told about where it is and how it is getting to you. Somehow, Air Canada believes that it is possible for a flight to land in Vancouver at 0745 and the missing bag can be in Whistler 45 minutes later... Food is another major niggle. Not just air canada but every airline. If the standards continue to drop at the present rate, we'll all be fed from a trough in the aisle. And when will boarding staff enforce the board by zone system? It's a joke when everyone is held up because some entitled jerk sitting at the front of economy boards early and proceeds to fanny-about getting their shiz sorted out! Rant over.
The crew members were kind. I wish in flight meals were a little better. I sat in the back and they ran out of meals I wanted.
Flight delayed 4 hours. Had to board, then return to airport then board another plane.
everything was great, did not eat on the plane.
No effort made to have other passengers not congregate in front of our seats while waiting for the bathroom.
There was a ver member at the check in section that was very disrespectful. I don’t know all the procedure that needs to be followed in Air Canada, since each airline has its own. The lady started laughing at us and yelling us when we didn’t understand and when we had a problem. We called a supervisor who had a better attitude but the lady refused to give us her name.
Overall good experience. But there was no food, only drinks provided.
One Korean crew was not kind at all.
This company seems to have real labor issues. Many cancellations and delays due to crews not showing up.
I overheard someone talking of my weight. Just an incredibly disheartening experience
I didn’t even have a tv. The flight attendant was rude and said I could have a second drink option. Terrible service
Flight was cancelled just prior to the schedule due to not enough ground crews at the airport. So they moved me to connecting flights with American Airlines. The first flight was delayed, and the second one was several hours late also for a mechanical issue.
Had to return back due to the airplane having mechanical problems
Food
Delayed, delayed. Ground took hours to get passenger abroad as they ask people to wait in the zone but did not send people out to check the passport and boarding pass like other carriers. So already delayed for hours further delay for another 40 min. Food was bad and quantity is not enough. Crew were helpful. And nice. If air canada do not improve on schedule and management of ground crew and the food no competition to Asian airline like Eva , Singapore , cathy or Thai airlines.
My flight from HKG to Vancouver was delayed until I have to take another flight then coming back from LA to HKG the flight was then delayed for quite a few hours again . The food in air canada need to be improved , not only it was bad but quantity was not enough. But crew were good and helpful. However ground crew were so slow in getting passengers on board and was further delayed for over half an hour. Can you imagine how we felt being further delayed because double check on everything . Unlike other carrier they send people on the line to check before going to the grate. Simple process like that can improve the speed of broading more than half the time. Instead getting people standing in zones and wait endlessly.
Never had to agree to a change in my flight booking. Very happy with the whole experience.
Need improvement in all departments
No hay nada de comer incluido ni una galleta
It was fine
The crew was great, delays both ways was terrible. We had to walk outside and climb stairs to plane which wasn't great for my hip that's full of arthritis.
Everything was very excellent The food was great The crew was so nice 🥰👌🏽 I really appreciate and loved travelling with Air Canada 🇨🇦
Staff was courteous and efficient. Boarding was 1h15 late with nearly perfect weather. Getting bags required just over 45 minutes after landing.
Just delayed trying to accommodate other passengers from cancelled flights.
The space is uncomfortably limited.
Service was very poor
Flight was fine but took off late by an hour with no explanation of why. Then when I arrived in Toronto rather than helping me get to my connecting flight they bumped me and several Others off the plane even though we made it to the gate before the plane left. They offered a hotel voucher overnight which was nice but they should have just held the flight for us - since there were multiple people connecting to it.
It's, by far, the best north American airline. Which isn't much to say for the rest of them....
Everything was good but random change of gates and delays made me unhappy.
Aisles are way to narrow. Seat cushions have lost all padding. Overhead storage was good. Seat numbers would be nice at the console area near the air flow for the plane we were on Could we not load the plane back to front.
On board Air Canada flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x23cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Air Canada assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
Air Canada offers direct flights to 117 cities in 52 different countries. Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver are the most popular cities covered by Air Canada.
