They suggested using a wheelchair to speed up the immigration and boarding process. We’re frequent travelers but why we never requested a wheelchair, I simply don’t know! But thanks to their wheelchair suggestion, we made the flight just in time."

Due to my unpredictable schedule, we opted for an economy ticket, thinking that it would be easy enough to upgrade me to business. We were wrong - my ticket turned out to be non-upgradable, which was ok for me. It was our first time to travel as husband and wife so it would’ve been nice to sit together, but I’m 5’0” and fit in the economy seat just fine anyway. What was NOT ok was when we were boarded and were waiting for the plane to take off, I brought a lunch box of cut fruits to my husband. A flight attendant was introducing herself when I came so I said hi, but she completely ignored me. She even offered to chill the fruit in their fridge, for which I said thanks, but she didn’t even look at me; neither did another attendant who cheerfully offered him magazines. There were only 2 passengers in the business class so my husband suggested I sat next to him, but I declined and went back to my seat, promising to come say hi every once in a while during the 9-hour flight. Fast forward to a couple hours later, I kept my word and came by. The flight attendant was quick in kicking me out saying I didn’t belong to business class so I had to go back to my seat. I did. My husband said to her that I was having period cramps (true) then followed me to my seat and sat with me for a bit until I asked him to go back to his seat so he could be more comfortable as he’s 6’2” and simply was too tall and the economy seats were too painful for his operated-on back. Was I perhaps too short for the flight attendants to notice?!? I had to ask for a toiletries kit 3 times before they finally gave me one just before we landed after all! Obviously, those in the business class are treated like gods; those in the economy are second class citizens."

Cons: "Unforeseen luggage charges that were way too expensive. Would not have flown the airline had I realized they charged for luggage on international flights. The charge was about $150, for the same luggage I brought with me for free on two prior international flights that were part of the same trip, on much better airlines for about the same ticket price. I could have tolerated a charge of $50, but I found $150 to be outrageous. Seats were narrow, legs hit the back of the seat in front. No need for such a configuration, since the flight was only 1/3 full. I won't fly Cebu Pacific again. Congratulations, you lost my business."

I found out about the delay through my Kayak App and it took a long while before Air Asia made announcements. The flight was delayed about 3 hours."

After finally boarding the plane it was dirty. Tray table wad really sticky and there was a used cup in my seat I had to remove before sitting. Also my seat did not recline so I was very uncomfortable with small amount of leg room. The flight was supposed to land in Hong Kong at 7:15 by the time we got to hotel it was 1:30am. It's a shame I had to pay for the whole night at the Hotel."

Cons: "Hey I know its the Philippines, I've been here many times, but ALL of the Air Asia flights were delayed, ours 2 hours...we flew Air Asia to Kalibo last week, delayed 4 hours. But Cebu Pacific flights were all delayed too. Just prepare for long waits at waiting area. Ferry boats are often cancelled or delayed too, its just the way it is here in the PI."
Pros: "The bad started at the ticket counter where I received a $135 baggage fee. There website is specifically constructed to hide baggage allowances. The flight was approximately two hours later commuting due to "late turns on previous sectors." Updates were not provided so you had to sit for hours in the gate listening to constant gate calls for other flights. There is essentially no restaurants on the concourse. Inflight meals were all pay as you go. I was not asked if I wanted a meek, I guess because I wasn't Filipino. Filipinos around me were offered meals. Never again!"

Cons: "First flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours. Second flight was delayed 3 1/2 hours. Seats were very uncomfortable. Head rest doesn't adjust. Lost my phone on the airplane back to Manila. I tried to call Air Asia, and they sent me to airport lost and found. Airport lost and found sends me to Air Asia,........... after about 10 times of doing that I finally got an Air Asia rep on the phone to take me seriously. But she didn't see too concerned or interested in finding my phone for me. I told her to check the plane, and contact me if they found it or not....... NO reply! So I called back the day after, and again, got the run around...... Now, this second assistant I told the same thing. No communications or customer care with this airline. I worked for the airlines for 14 years, and I could check a plane for a cell phone in about 10 minutes, and get back to you... Air Asia that's like pulling hens teeth!"

Pros: "Air Asia said, my ticket was refunded back to my account, I called my card company and talked to the air Asia crew teller at the airport's counter at the same time. My card said, my purchased went through successfully but air Asia at Manila airport didn't understand that! My parents went home straight front the airport frustrated!! So I had to purchased another plane tickets with anothe airline, and now they're enjoying Macau and Hong Kong!! I will not give you my business ever again and my whole family. :( P.s I even got a flight reminder email on 1/22/16 and their flight with you was supposedly yesterday 1/28/16. -not a happy customer-"
Cons: "THERE IS NO FREE CHECK BAGS, I HAD TO PAY FOR 2 CHECKED BAGS BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY ARE TOO BIG TO BE CARRY ON. NO FREE BEVERAGE OR SNACKS FOR THE FLIGHT AND EVEN WHEN I ASKED FOR HOT WATER FOR MY BABIES MILK, THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PURCHASE SOMETHING FIRST BEFORE GIVING ME HOT WATER! WHEN I ASKED TO BORROW A PEN THEY ALSO WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THE PEN! MOST RIDICULOUS AIRLINE I HAVE EVER RODE IN. NEVER AGAIN."

Cons: "Dirty plane (probably not out of commission long enough to be cleaned), and the CONSTANT baggage fees. For MOST airlines, when you buy a ticket, you get at least *1* checked bag. For AA/Z? 0. Not only that, but when you pay the "I'd like to check a bag fee", the allowance that you get is small, and the per Kg rate over it is exorbitant. More truth in advertising their rates would certainly be appreciated. Also, there are size, and WEIGHT limits for your carry-on. For those of you thinking that you could just pack it all into a carry-on, and beat the system."
Pros: "I got a call a few weeks ahead to say my flight time had been changed to a half hour ahead of schedule. That was nice for a heads up."
Cons: "However, it's a good thing we arrived at the airport 4 hours in advance (had nothing else to do...) because our flight was actually 2 hours ahead of schedule. Also, we sat on the tarmac for an hour. This was to be expected though, because it's manila."

Cons: "Plane was unsafe, engine was making unacceptable clanking sound before taking off, totally unacceptable, airline canceled flight before time and rescheduled the time, then left an hout late after the new time on runway, the process of terminals is also not clear as to where you myst go , worst airline experience i have ever had, would never recommend to anyone .... Airport ground staff are not too helpful"
