PAL is not my airline of choice. Always late, poor service/IFE and a lousy terminal in Manila.
Not too clear about the Covid-19 requirements. I ended up rebooking my flight. Vancouver Canada -connecting flight , staff aren’t helpful. Customer service sucks. Won’t fly Philippine Airlines again.
Easy check in and all around nice flight, clean plane and nice crew. Seats a little small

I understand everybody cannot be upgraded but I paid extra for aisle seat and extra leg room. Maybe passengers that paid extra for seats could get an upgrade when available? It would have been a nice treat to be able to sit in a seat that was actually comfortable. I guess the padding gets worn down from all the passenger travel an that's understandable but for passengers with 13-15 hr trips, sleeping isn't an option really and the seats are just not soft enough. Perhaps a nominal $100 upgrade fee when seats are empty in business class? I'm assuming the reason business was empty is it's just too expensive? Maybe a price adjustment is in order rather than letting those seats sit empty? Overall, the flight was a pleasant experience. The seat situation was just a blemish on the trip. I will continue to use Philippine Airlines though probably in the future. Thank you."

My checked bag was ripped open somewhere in the process of being transported!! I don’t think I will fly this carrier ever again!"

On the way back, I waited 4 hrs to catch a later flight. Air Asia did not compensate for my valuable extra time wasted but in addition charged a $30 USD bag fee each time. I will never fly with Air Asia again and will advise friends and family to avoid Air Asia."

The even more annoying thing is that i paid double the cost of the evening flight to arrive at our original time, I should have just taken the ferry at least then we could have enjoyed the near 12hour journey it took us to travel less than hour hour in the plane!! Poor piece of food whilst waiting 9 hours also!!"

Cons: "I received 3 emails alerting me to the fact the flight was delayed. The first blamed operations and estimated a 45 minute delay, the next 2 had the same explanation but with a 1.5 hour delay. The final count was almost 5 hours. The terminal was sterile looking with awful lighting, and uncomfortable benches. There was no wifi (free or for a charge), and updates from the ground crew were few and far between and generally only happend after a question from a customer . They provided a meal due to the delay(there is no food in the terminal except a small kiosk that closed earlier that evening), but a greasy chicken leg and ball of white rice don't do much to make up for losing 4 hours of sleep before a 20 hour trek to America the next day (rather the same day as we got in at 330 am). We will never fly through manila or kalibo again as a result of this trip, and never again fly airasia."
