Cons: "My wife and I were scheduled to fly out of Taipei on the day a major typhoon made a direct hit on Taiwan. Taipei was shut down, offices and shops were closed, residents were sheltering at home, and other carriers had cancelled essentially all flights during the 10 hours when the storm was projected to be over the island and had posted long delays (of 8 and 10 hours and longer) on their uncancelled flights. Only EVA stubbornly clung to the fiction that our flight and others would actually depart -- and depart on time. EVA's refusal to acknowledge reality -- and timely communicate that reality to its customers -- made planning impossible, stranding passengers at hotels without bookings, preventing contingency planning and forcing many passengers to make needless trips to the airport over treacherous roads made hazardous by heavy flooding, downed trees, blowing debris, high winds and blinding rain. EVA's decisions cost us money, inconvenience, time and anxiety. For the passengers and crews on inbound planes that EVA actually landed or tried to land in Taipei that day, the consequences were worse: head and other injuries from extreme turbulence and hard landings, and then hours on tarmacs unable to deplane because the winds were above the maximum level for the safe deployment of jetways. Getting out the next day with an upgrade to business class doesn't do it for me. I am a United 1K-Star Alliance Gold flyer. I fly a fair amount and I expect, above all else, an uncompromising focus on safety and clear, candid and timely communication. Never again EVA."

There was no turbulence at that time, the seat belt sign was off and the captain did not announce a need to stay seated with the seat belt on. I explained that my back and left leg hurts so I needed to stretch, shake it off and stand. She insisted that I sit for my safety. I did not argue because I did not want to cause trouble. Then I asked her for the toilet which was behind her, hidden as she keeps the curtain pulled around the toilet and galley. She directed me to the tail of the plane when I am seated at #28B at first row at the front of the plane, 4-5 steps away from me. She kept still, standing in front of the toilet until I walked away to the back of the plane. Again, I did not complain nor argue. I thought to myself that maybe the front toilet if off limits to passengers. Then later when I returned to my seat, I watched all other passengers who appear of her same race and talked same language as hers, pull the curtain covering the toilet and galley, use the toilet and get drinks from her freely. I felt very offended that I was not allowed to use this toilet as every one else have and did not receive the same friendly service as those passengers. I wanted to keep to myself about this but I realized I was treated unequally. So I told her that I was offended that she directed me to the back of the plane to use the toilet while everyone else used the front of the plane toilet. I also told her I felt I was not treated equally and felt very hurt. She kept apologizing after I explained how I feel but her apology does not take away the fact that I was treated differently and unequally. I advised her that she should not treat her passengers as if we are ignorant of flying, of our rights and of flying etiquette. She kept apologizing every time she passes by me throughout the flight but this did not ease my feelings at all. This was the last blow to my dissatisfaction with this trip beginning with the 2-hour flight delay. Cons: "The flight was cancelled on the way there and on the way back without any notifications. On the way there, I had to run through the airport to catch an earlier flight. On the way back, I waited 4 hrs to catch a later flight. Air Asia did not compensate for my valuable extra time wasted but in addition charged a $30 USD bag fee each time. I will never fly with Air Asia again and will advise friends and family to avoid Air Asia."

Cons: "I was double charged for the ticket. Customer service has been researching this for little over two weeks. Flight was delayed for just over two hours with multiple gate changes. Customer service at the terminal was no better than the customer service on the hotline."

Cons: "My seat was broken and would go back if I leaned on it too hard. We were delayed for so long and sat on the runway (perhaps the airports fault). There was no overhead room for our carry-on luggage and no one was very helpful about it. Other passengers around us had the same issue with the carry-on luggage."

They moved our flight time up 2 hours, canceled all the later ones,and they were 30 minutes away from where we landed 1 1/2 hours before. We called and got no help. Had to pay $25 for a ripoff taxi to get us there on time. Then they were 40 minutes late anyway. No complimentary anything, no water nothing just buy buy buy."

When i mentioned it to other travel agents they all said the same thing, Air Asia is always delayed, i was told to use other airlines. Indeed, while awaiting my flight to Manilla I saw 2 Philippines Air flights depart on time. One of my fellow travellers had given themselves7 hours between flights and missed their flight to Dubai because of the delay."

Pros: "Overall it was an ok flight. But there are so many limits to baggage what your weight limit is and isn't. I have to put things in 2 separate bags to prevent extra cost. Gees. It was out of control. I had on carry on and everything was under 10kg. But the one bag was limited to 7. Hence extra bag to carry other stuff. Didn't make sense to me. So I'll never fly on this airline again. Ill go back to Cebu Pacific Airlines. So much more better flights."
