Cons: "The flight was terrible. The boarding process was improperly conducted causing a lack of overhead space in the baggage storage overhead. The entertainment system was broken and the flight transfer process was terrible and confusing. I had the worst trip in over 300 life time trips. I felt like the price was way too high for the service I received! I need a partial refund at a minimun."
Cons: "The flight attendant that was helping in my side was really not feeling like she wanted to work that day. No smiling. No interaction with the passengers. Just wanted everything done right away. She had the look of not wanting to be there period."

Cons: "BUSINESS CLASS - After watching a YouTube video about PAL business class, my wife and I got sold to the idea of upgrading. We tried to do so on online check-in but the system wouldn’t allow us to change our seats. So we tried to buy the upgrade upon our baggage check-in but the attendant told us that we couldn’t for it is fully booked. We even tried to buy an upgrade to premium economy but was given the same answer. We told the attendant that it’s okay and thank you for checking. But as we were boarding, 3 people in front of us got upgraded to business class for free. This was very upsetting as there was no reason nor any explanation given to us. HOLDING GATE - On top of the above mentioned are the unorganized boarding. We were asked to scan our bags and our passports/boarding pass checked just to be at the gate. At the gate “holding area”, we couldn’t have water and there are no washrooms. If we wanted to have water or go to the washroom, we’d have to go out of the holding area and line-up and get scanned and our documents checked again. Mind you, this process was done already before entering the boarding area. PAL just redundantly did it at the gates. And there’s not enough seats for the waiting passengers at the gate. I saw people sitting down on the floor waiting for boarding. MABUHAY LOUNGE - My wife and I inquired about if we could buy access to the lounge but was declined. The reason given to us is that the lounge is only for business class flyers. There are no other lounge area in the Terminal 2. FOOD CHOICES - There are not a lot of food choices in Terminal 2. They have some for snacking but if you’re waiting or flight gets delayed, there’s a big chance that you’d end up eating the same food again. WILL I FLY PAL AGAIN? - My wife and I are frequent flyers. Cons: "I did not like the fact that I booked my flights months in advance and would have done this adjustment with Our ample time and not one person informed us about our passports from kayak or Philippine Airlines. It was disgusting that I had to lose my flight and not even receive any kind of courtesy from them or you as far as even a partial refund or any kind of acknowledgement. We just booked other flights without your product. Terrible experience. i am just appalled at the kind of service kayak offers."

Coming: They allowed us to transfer to the international terminal where we were made to wait 8 hours OUTSIDE the terminal area. There were few seats, it was cold and NO food venders. Will NEVER fly into Manilla again."

Cons: "A Philippine Airlines check-in personnel did not fail to make my family feel extremely disrespected by treating us in such a rude manner at their counter. After verifying our information, she proceeded to tell us we had no reserved seats for our flight. When I told her we had seat numbers (thus reserved seats) when I checked their website the night before, she had the audacity to imply that we were lying about these mediocre seats! After speaking to the supervisor, she then proceeded to tell us that we should be thankful for the seats she was able to give us, WHICH WERE THE EXACT SAME SEATS THAT WERE LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE THE DAY BEFORE. Philippine Airlines need to better train their check-in personnel proper customer service to prevent passengers from having such unpleasant experiences with their staff. Our check-in process would have gone smoothly had she not replied in such a snarky manner to us and implied that we owe her for the seats we had in the first place."

They could not leave on time on any flights, over head speaker in terminal was just constant flight being delayed-significantly. Hawaii to Manila and back, you had to down load an app onto your phone prior to leaving for any in flight entertainment, on your phone only. Terrible food. This was my worst flying experience ever and I do 4 international trips a year. Save time and money, fly another airline even if it means a connecting flight, you will still get there quicker. Pathetic."

Pros: "Food wasn't too bad, stewards were pleasant but had to wait ages for water. Like the 2 4 2 layout so we didn't have to disturb anyone for "comfort" breaks."
Cons: "Checking in, a few kg overweight, they made us put the excess into our hand baggage, it meant opening our 4 cases, actually moving things which weighs less than half a kg, complete waste of time, over half an hour. Complete waste of time as it's on the same plane FFS. Entertainment via iPads, poor selection of films."

Cons: "Of the four total flights, to include connections, Philippine Airlines was delayed on all legs. The delays were all after boarding and while sitting in plane. Delays ranged from 30 minutes to 75 minutes and all four flight delays were reported to be due to delays in getting baggage on the planes or getting the meals loaded on the planes according to the pilot's reports. Of note, on all four flights, the crew ran out of food before getting to our isle and had only one option remaining with no alternatives for those allergic to any portion of the meal. I would absolutely never recommend Philippine Airlines to anyone. The reduced cost of tickets was absolutely not worth the experience."

Lack of wifi and entertainment for an 8 hour flight is ridiculous."

Waited Over 5 Hours for a 1 1/2 hour Flight. Manila AirPort is absolutely pathetic. This was after Cebu Pacific personnel tried to overcharge me for excess baggage.

Extra seat rows had been installed to get more seating on the plane. That might be ok for the average 5'4" Filipino, but at 6'1", I literally could not fit my knees behind the seat in front of me. As a result I had to twist my legs into an uncomfortable position for 2 hours. Not fun."

Cons: "The gate on our boarding pass initially indicated E4 and it was changed to E2 without any notification. The gate was not manned by any airline staff and only the assigned gate had bathrooms. Basically, you have to hold your bodily functions in the general waiting area at the Jakarta airport. Flight was supposed to depart at 12:30pm and a gate change was announced at midnight. We had to move to another part of the terminal, Gate D6 I believe and had to go through security check again. Another badly managed budget airline."
