Cons:Tray was filthy dirty from previous passenger. Not acceptible amid the current Coronavirus pandemic. Paid $600 for ticket. Plane was changed to a smaller model with no entertainment system.

Booked myself & 2 year old granddaughter on flight. Didn't select seats as had hoped to request when checking in at airport an empty seat next to us if available. Plane was full so not possible. BUT - the seats the system had allocated us were not together!!! I suggested this would be very relaxing for me, but probably not so much for the passenger seated with my lovely & very chatty granddaughter!!! The staff member checking us in worked their magic so we were seated together - but it seems an oversight when the booking is made with the age of child stated that seats would not automatically be allocated together. Cabin crew were fab!

Pros:Plane seats are ok - a bit annoying that there is no on board entertainment and you have to use your own phone etc. The butter chicken was edible.
Cons:It'd be better if there were a selection of direct flights to Canberra. It's quicker to fly to Bali! We spent over 8 hours including wait time to travel from Canberra to Perth - via Sydney. No bag drop in Canberra - that was a surprise.

I know not directly a Virgin "thing" but I hold Virgin responsible for their subcontractors. Had to wait 45 minutes waiting for baggage at PER before the belt conveyor even started. This is unacceptable and hopefully Virgin engages with whoever to pull their fingers out. I realise PER staff are generally slow at the best of times but this was ridiculous. Maybe more seating for those waiting, a cafe in the baggage area for a light meal while we wait or at the very least a troop of dancing girls to entertain the punters while they stare at the conveyor belt start light almost willing it to fire up.

Cons:I went online to put that I needed gluten free food and when everyone else was getting their food I was told no gluten free food on domestic flights so I got no food. You need to take that option off of your website if you don’t intend to serve people with celiac.
