The lady at the Detroit airport pickup office was incredible! She was kind, efficient, and extremely helpful. There was an issue with the first vehicle I picked up. The car smelled like someone had been smoking in the vehicle. That was not acceptable for a week rental. When I went back to the counter and pointed out this problem the person helping me was apologetic and immediately arranged for another vehicle. Pros:Due to Covid, we had to cancel our trip, and this our reservation. Delta refunded all of our money back. Thrifty did not, and blamed it on Kayak. Pros:2019 Camry was a great car.Cons:$13/day to add a spouse as a driver is ridiculous. Every other car rental company that I’ve used does this for free. Will not be using Thrifty in the future on this basis.Reviewed Dec 29 2019

Pros:The pickup was easy since there was no other customer in the office. The place was D E A D. That was good for me.Cons:The drop off process was very poor. There was no attendant. I was just told to leave the car in the lot and walk away. Someone would process it later and send me a receipt. But one day later I still do not have a receipt !!Reviewed Dec 10 2019

Pros:The van ran good. We needed to keep it longer, it was very easy to call the 800 # and extent the time.Cons:The pick up & drop off process needs improvement. The people behind the desk seem indifferent and lazy. We had to write down the damage on the vehicle, which was dirty and hard to tell. Upon return, there was no one outside to accept the vehicle. Pros:Staff was friendlyCons:The shuttle took 15min to come, it was nowhere in sight, while Avis and Hertz etc has 3 come by one after the other, barely picked me up right before 1am, it’s when they close, so i almost didn’t get my car. Stood in the cold for awhile. It wasn’t that unbearable but the fact that i saw everyone else’s shuttle come 3 times and my company closed at 1am and it was 12:52 when they picked me up. I would rather not use Thrifty’s again if i has a choice.Reviewed Nov 21 2019
