Perfect service! booking online was simple. Getting the car at the counter from the Alamo agent felt like it took less than 3 minutes total. Employee in the parking lot was friendly and helpful, drop off crew was also very helpful and kind. I honestly loved every second of my experience with Alamo. Had a luxury rental and the car was flawlessReviewed Jan 8 2025

Generally good overall experience with Alamo. No issues with vehicle rented. The car I reserved wasn't available when I arrived at Alamo. The worker arranged for an "upgrade" that upgraded the cost by adding $70 to the cost of the rental, not including fees. Wasn't expecting this. Wish I had other options but needed the rental car so agreed to the extra charge. That was the biggest negative with this rental experience.Reviewed Jul 24 2024

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!Reviewed May 14 2024

If the rental booking could automatically, and CLEARLY notify customers that they absolutely have to use a credit card for their booking, it would save alot of headaches for customers and your alls reps. When I booked mine with a debit card, the confirmation made it seem like everything was fine, and even said to bring the credit/debit card I booked with. It knows I'm doing a way trip. So in this day and age, an automatic warning would be awesome, instead of being told "its the policy" and I should have read it 3 paragraphs downReviewed Apr 23 2024

We had a 73 day rental. We had to go to the airport twice for 30 day checks. It was a nuisance as the car wasn't even checked. Could this be looked into please? Over 73 days our milage was around 1,500 so not over used.Reviewed Mar 22 2024

All four branches where you can get Alamo car hire in Orlando have a range of vehicle models that you'll appreciate when driving in the city or in wider Florida. There are plenty of city cars, such as the economy and compact models, hatchbacks and standard sedans. These will be all you'll need to get around the downtown areas and will help with the occurrence of heavy traffic. You also get compact SUVs for city driving. Other models include larger SUVs and luxury saloons.
If you're travelling with young children, remember that the driving laws in Orlando require anyone under the age of five to be secured in a federally approved and crash-tested restraint seat. If your child is younger than three, they must travel in a separate carrier or a car seat integrated into the vehicle. You can get child seats as one of the bookable extras at any branch when you book Alamo car hire in Orlando. These have been approved under Florida law to conform to all legal requirements.
Keep a close eye out for speed limit signs when you're driving in the built-up areas of Orlando. The normal speed limit in these zones is 30 mph, but if you're in a school zone the limit reduces to 20 mph. You can drive at up to 70 mph on the city's highways and toll roads. Remember that you can also get fined for driving too slowly in Orlando, if you're deemed to be creating a hazard. So don't get too absorbed in sightseeing when you're the driver.
All of the branches offering Alamo car hire in Orlando provide an after-hours return service. You also don't have to return your car to the same branch from which you collected it. Every agency has a drop box where you can deposit the car keys, regardless of when you're leaving Orlando. The Alamo branch at the airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can drop off your vehicle whenever your return flight is due to leave.
Economy rental cars from Alamo in Orlando are around 33% cheaper than other car types, on average.
