This was our second car that we had to pick up on our trip, they thoroughly went over the vehicle, took photos, and were very quick and efficient. Very friendly staff, took time to make conversation. The location we went to had terrible customer service. Their website said they close at 4pm. We booked for a car pick up around 12 pm and I got to the location around 12:15pm. Come to find out they stuck a printed piece of paper on their door saying they close at 12pm. We did not receive a curtesy call saying they are closing early. No email from them either. When I got to the location, there were still employees inside that can clearly see me and another couple there who had a 12 pm pick up as well. No associate came to talk to us. No associate even acknowledged us. Later on we see them run out the back door really fast and lock up. I went up to someone to ask what was going on and all one of them said was “we are closed already.” Customer service was just absolutely terrible. Had there been better communication or at least a heads up that they planned on closing early, no one would have been upset but the way they handled everything was terrible and upsetting.Reviewed Dec 9 2021

Anaheim branch doesn't offer after hours return which is very inconvenient. Hertz is also not able to change drop-off location for prepaid contracts. Only after calling them numerous times they offered me to change the location for an additional fee of $320.Reviewed Nov 7 2021

Pros:I didn't like anything about renting from Hertz. They didn't have a car when they said they would. Their local agents did what they could, however their reservation service is a joke. I wasted an entire day of my vacation trying to get the car I had ordered and then had to take a smaller vehicle or not have a car. Hertz gave no compensation. What an absolute joke.Cons:Hertz should change their name to Hurts! What a joke of a company to rent from! Cons:I had lost/stolen my wallet the morning of my scheduled pickup, I was 1.5 hrs late to pick up the car. I had already prepaid for my rental car and they said they only hold cars for one hour. My father was with me since I had no for of payment or ID with me since he only had a debit card with him.Reviewed Sep 25 2019

Pros:Good rate, good car, people were fineCons:They gave away my car. They said their policy was if you were over two hours late they could give it away. I was 20 minutes late, but there wasn’t anything in my receipt from renting that stated that policy. Cons:They didn't want to honor the reservation. They didn't have the kind of car I booked for and they asked me to make another reservation for more than double the money I booked for. Lies about availabilityCons:Paid for an uber to arrive at the location where I’d reserved a car. No cars were actually available and my reservation didn’t mean anything. Wasted that uber money and had to find somewhere else to go and pay for a second uber. Terrible customer service. No apologies and there was only one worker there so I had to wait 20 minutes for him to finish with the customer ahead of me, only to find out I was wasting my time as well as my money being there.Reviewed Jan 5 2019
