New Jeep Compass had the new car smell. Clean and easy pickup and drop off. The trunk was pretty small but we were able to work it out. I was surprised to have a$300 deposit taken on top of the $500 rental fee. I’m waiting on the deposit return now. I just turned in the car yesterday.Reviewed Dec 27 2023

Pros:Pickup & drop off was relatively painless. Neither rep demonstrated a welcoming attitude. All business. Pickup rep was eating while helping the customer ahead of me at pickup.Cons:A quick review of operating functions would have been helpful. I am a senior citizen not used to the new electronic wizardry. My wife & I spent a few minutes doing that at pickup and later again with headlight & windshield wiper settings. Picking up a vehicle and being thrust into traffic with rainy weather is not my idea of fun.Reviewed May 19 2021

Pros:Nothing- see belowCons:This was the worst rental car experience of my life. I got to the airport and was told that my reservation was cancelled with no warning! Apparently Alamo had sold out all their cars. This was a major inconvenience for me, as I ultimately had to spend $270 getting to and from my destination, instead of the $120 I had paid. If I had also known this before arriving I could have also tried making different arrangements, but also found out that everyone else was sold out by the time I got there too. This was a massive inconvenience and I will never use Alamo again, and it made me seriously question my use of Kayak as wellReviewed May 3 2021

Pros:you gave me a choice of car modelCons:We were deceived we arrived and the car that we ordered it was not there and they tried to give us a very dirty and scratched car when we asked to replace it with another one we were told that this is the only pickup that is where we lost half an hour of time to cancel the order and change the company that provides rental cars, fortunately, the other company was in the same airport room but our experience showed that this is very not professional and looks like a customer's deception.Reviewed Jan 26 2021
