Car smelled really bad. Made me nauseous. Even opening windows did not help. The stench was that strong. They charged added daily fee because I chose to go with my own insurance. No other company does this. Also, this wasn't very clear when booking, it was a small very tiny half a sentence in the fine details of a click-on "additional information" on the booking. Very deceptive. Again, no other rental company charges this from my own personal experience.Reviewed Apr 15 2024

This is a total fraud of a rental car place. Do not rent from here. They don’t take American Express they only rent to you if you have your insurance ( your own car insurance with you). The car definitely was never cleaned. Found leftover French fries, snack wrappers and receipts. The windshield washer fluid was also not checked (low level warning appeared after using it a couple of times) and the wiper blade was damaged (the rubber was falling off the blade). The staff member of the rental copany lied about the value of the car when presenting the different insurance options. The price of the insurance was over the top. This was one of my most expensive car rentals ever due to the excessive insurance fee.Reviewed Apr 8 2024

Jackie took care of me and got me into my car quickly with an assist from Fernando who helped from home on his day off. The car was clean and in perfect condition. Cost was supposed to be $224.97 for a week, plus I paid about $88 for Allianz insurance when I booked stateside. On arrival at the rental place in Costa Rica I was told the Allianz insurance only covers collision, and I also need liability insurance. Not sure if this is true or a scam, but ended up paying $495 for the week (rental plus cheapest liability insurance option). The car had 74,000 miles. Low pressure light came on on the last day, so i had to have the gas station pump up the tires, though fortunately did not go flat.Reviewed Mar 21 2024
