We reserved a car off site because it was much cheaper. We walked with our luggage to go pick up the car. Joe was our salesman, he was very friendly but added $31 per day coverage that I told him I didn't want. I was charged basically double for the car rental because of that. I will never rent from Avis again and will definitely check the fine print next time regardless of nice talking agents. Very unhappy!!Reviewed Apr 26 2025

Scam artists. Made me pay 27500 out of my pocket for a scuff on the lower part of the bumper. Something fell off a truck on the highway totally out of my control and it caused a minor scuff. They made me pay every bit of Yen I had left or they were going to call the police on me. unpleasantly surprised by the service and the sudden charge for car insurance. In Belgrade, I have been renting a car at the airport every 2-3 months for the past six years and I have never had such a bad experience as with Avis rentacar. Not a single moment did the lady who works in your office look at me (Marina) and with incomplete or no answers, very unprofessional and impudent. I'm very sorry, but that day I didn't rent a car from Avis, but from another company that charged me 20 euros per day without the obligation to pay additional insurance, which in Avis rent a car should have been 31 euros for insurance and 21 euros for the car or a deposit of 5,000 euros. I understand that there are rules and I always respect them, but what happened to me on March 25th in your company is disappointing, and of course I was not the only one who was disappointed with the services of the Avis company that day... and the hour-long wait that day, terrible Once again, I have rented a car many times, but I have never experienced such disappointment as with Avis rent a car.
