Checking in and out was amazing! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I can't say enough great things about them! Highly recommend renting a vehicle from the Edmonton Airport Hertz location!Reviewed Mar 21 2024

Terrible. They had 0 cars available. I had to take a bus to the airport to pick up the car and they didn’t tell me until I arrived. They gave me no discount. I wouldn’t rent with them again.Reviewed Mar 21 2024

Wetting a car down does. Ot mean it is clean. When it dried it was obviously dirty. I didn't rent it to impress anyone, it just seemed like a deceptive practice.Reviewed Mar 21 2024

The car was in terrible shape. It needs new shock absorbers and we were concerned that the struts were about to go. We were afraid to use it as much as we had wanted to over concerns that it would break down.Reviewed Mar 20 2024

Having to go off site and finding my own way to the car rental from the airport was a bit of a surprise. I have been renting cars for years but this was the first time through Hertz at PBI. Its was scratcher and an inconvenience. I will likely never go back to Hertz because of this, no matter the savings. When we got the vehicle, we hopped in to get to our destination but began to notice the car had significant scuff marks on the back seats, as if kids had been back there, on the seats and on the back of the front seats, both sides. We even had friends we picked up later remark how the inside of the car looked with the amount of scoff marks. Another major problem, a day into the trip, both tires on the passenger side were low and signals on the dash board indicated we needed air. A stop off at the local gas station and $1.50 fixed that.... temporarily. On our trip back the light was back on telling us again the same tires had low air pressure. We reported it at Drop Off. On other issue was the insurance. Our car insurance covers rental vehicle and I specifically did not accept it when I ordered the car. When I picked up the car, the agent tagged it in for $26 a day without my knowledge and it wasn't until I got to my hotel an hour later I discovered this was to cost me an additional $188 for the trip. I guess the agent got his commission. Because of this poor experience, I likely will never return to Hertz again.Reviewed Mar 20 2024

Not sure how I rented this car at the Marriott, and not the airport; but I wasted a lot of time - both on hold and dialing a number provided to only be repeatedly disconnected- with Hertz, trying to talk with a human- and when I finally got to their clearly foreign based scripted call center- they could not assist me!!!! I will NEVER rent with Hertz again!!!! And today I noticed Hertz attempted to charge my credit card additional monies; when they had no basis whatsoever to do!!! I held up my end of the contract- even returned the car three hours before I had arranged to! Hertz has lost my business!!!Reviewed Mar 20 2024

The counter agent did not honor the price Kayak quoted and reservation price when I arrived at facility. Charged more than price I was quoted on online reservation. When I returned the car the agent checking in the vehicle asked what charge was on vehicle when I picked it up. He went out to check charge which was more than when I picked it up. He then tried to charge me more than the price I paid at pick up which was higher than online quoted, reserved price. When I objected to another upcharge, he questioned who was the agent when I picked up car. I described the counter agent to him and again expressed my dissatisfaction for not honoring the quoted price and now trying to upcharge me again! He backed away from the upcharge and made many keystrokes on computer and took way too long to give me my receipt and check in the vehicle. I was trying to get to the auto shop where my car was being repaired before closing. I will never rent a vehicle from here again.Reviewed Mar 20 2024

Hertz insisted that we pay more than the quoted amount, and told us we needed a letter from our insurance company which we were not informed of until we arrived at the rental office. So instead of the rental being the quoted amount of $480.25 CAD, they insisted that we pay $750 USD and provide a letter from my credit card company proving that our card covered insurance on a rental. When I showed the Hertz agent the booking through Kayak he just kept repeating "I work for Hertz, not Kayak" and showing me the Hertz agreement on their website. When I showed him the RBC credit care website outlining the details of our credit card (showing that rental insurance was covered), he say he needed a letter from our credit card company. All my other interactions with Kayak have been great, but this was an awful experience, and we ended up paying significantly more for a rental than the amount Kayak had quoted us.Reviewed Mar 19 2024
