Pros: Easy check in, very nice staff, saved me the taxi ride back by dropping it off at another location.
Cons: Only issue was that it wasn’t clear upon booking that the rental agency was not actually located at the airport. They charged a shuttle fee but no longer ran the shuttle. This was refunded without issue though.
Friendly Service, Awesome Vehicle
Pros: The 2016 Surburban LTZ reserved was exactly what we needed to transport 7 with carry-on size luggage on a trip from Calgary to Kelowna. I called in a few months before to ask for either a Surburban or Yukon XL so it was great that Driving Force was able to accommodate my needs. This vehicle had all the added bells and whistles such as, adaptive cruise control, pretty good fuel mileage for it's size, collision sensors, A/C seats (front only), and a pretty bumping sound system. It definitely made it easier for me to feel safe and confident enough to drive the SUV since I normally drive a Mazda 3 so it was a big change for me.
Cons: Honestly nothing to complain about!
Good Car, Unexpected Extra Cost
Pros: Great customer service at pick up. Shuttle service. Nice vehicle.
Cons: Unexpected extra fees, not included in Kayak quote...final cost was $100 MORE...NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. Rental company blamed Kayak for not informing me about those fees. I won’t book through Kayak or that company again...not cool to be overcharged.
Best car rental experience to date
Pros: Friendly and easy going staff. We made a few modifications to our booking over the course of a few days and the staff were more than accommodating to our requests. They were a pleasure to deal with and I will look no where else on returning to Calgary for car rental.
Took 40 minutes to get picked up from the airport
Pros: Car was new and clean and drove well. Staff at the office was nice and friendly. Price was fair. They did not hassle me about getting insurance.
Cons: Called the office to have the shuttle come pick me up at the airport. It took 40 minutes for them to arrive. Then their garage is another 15-20 minutes from the airport. If you are flying in and out of the airport and time and convenience is important to you, rent from someone at the airport.
Cons: I was upgraded to a van at no extra charge, but it was too big of a vehicle for me, and consumed lots more gas than the car I asked for would have. I was told at time of pick up that there would be a shuttle to the airport for me, but when I arrived to return the van, they were closed and I had to pay for a cab.
Excellent vehicle at a great price
Pros: I rented a Yukon XL and it was a 2018 with 2K km's. It was loaded with everything including a DVD which was great for a long drive.
Cons: They overbooked my reservation that I had for 6 weeks. They tried to slough off a Ford Transit instead, but after I refused they miraculously found my reservation at another location. I had to drive there to pick it up, but after that all was good.
Pros: The price quoted was the price charged
Cons: you have to call to be picked up from the airport, we waited about 35 minutes before they finally got there and than had to drive another 15 minutes. but we did get a nice upgrade
Pros: We didn't anticipate not having cell service but thankfully the Rent-A-Car had a navigation system. Saved the week! Thanks
Cons: The vehicle has many blind spots and the automatic side mirror adjustment when reversing was inconvenient
Cons: They werr out of cars the first day I checked in and the staff initially did not offer any solutions until we gave them some ideas. Horrible service, will never use this car rental again
