Terrible experience. Travelled with my wife and two small children. Due to airline issues we were delayed several times and got there 3 hrs after the scheduled pick up time. Went to the office and they told me that because I was late they had nothing available for me. I was told they had over booked as well and that even if I showed up on time, there was a chance I wouldn’t get a car. I asked if there was anything available and the worker got on her phone and walked to the back. Came back and told me that they could get me a car only if I paid $700.00 cash. This would of been more than what I was quoted for online. I asked what kind of scam they were running and they told me to leave. I had more than enough money to pay, but the fact that they were trying to get more money out of me due to our situation does not sit well. Terrible customer service and experience. Terrible They indicated that the auto insurance policy that I purchased thru your associated company would not be recognized by Avis and therefore I needed to purchase another policy. I believe my $54 purchase should be refunded. I paid another $72 to Avis.Reviewed Feb 16 2025

Airplane was a couple of hours late and they gave away our car. No cars available. Hertz in Aruba was a much better experience. Highly recommend them over Avis in Aruba!!Reviewed Jan 5 2025
