On our travel day we were notified our reservation would likely not be honored and we were on a waitlist. Other companies had no cars available, so the situation seemed dire. When we arrived, the staff was understanding and, fortunately, our reservation was honored, but with a different category vehicle - no biggie. Avis and Payless are one company, and it seemed that the Payless cars are “retired” Avis cars, since the car’s interior was a bit worn and torn. Staff was great!Reviewed Jun 24 2021

Pros:The pick up and drop off was very smooth.Cons:The light to the menu for music, maps, phone, media etc Burned out when I was still 6 1/2 hours away from home. Without a light I had no back up camera nor could I see who was calling unless I took my eyes off the road and looked at my phone. I did not know where the Spotify was playing or iTunes unless I looked at my phone and I had to find my own way home from San Antonio by looking at my phone because I couldn’t look at the car screenReviewed Sep 27 2020

Pros:Very fast pick upCons:I was asked if I want to pay the gas refill up front. I ended up only using 1 gallon of gas and maybe 10 miles on the car. I feel Iike I should not have been charged for a whole tank of gas.Reviewed Apr 1 2019
