Tried 3 times to rent via Kayak with Hertz……ikept getting notices that what you advertised vs what they showed via emil was twice the price ?.. then I got a cancellation notice ??? Bait and switch. Not good. Never again and I will tell everyoneReviewed Oct 20 2023

Pros:Nothing- never got the car-- the staff were completely rude- the telephone staff tried to triple my agreed rate and Priceline was no help!Cons:everything. I will never use Hertz or Priceline again -- And I have used Priceline since its inception. NEVER AGAIN ]Reviewed May 10 2021

Pros:NothingCons:We had rented an intermediate SUV however when we arrived they said they only had compact or large SUVs so they told us that we had secured a compact SUV. To avoid the hassle of cancelling the insurance pre-purchased we paid more to get a larger car as they would not provide the larger SUV to us in the agreed upon price. It felt like a bait and switch. The customer service was horrible and the car that we rented was dirty. There were wrappers, kids bracelets in cup holders, and in the seat back pockets. There was dirt and sand everywhere in the back and in the trunk. To top it all off the car smelled like smoke that had been covered up-not ideal for an asthmatic. I had to use my inhaler within 15 minutes of being in the car! It was a terrible experience!Reviewed Sep 13 2020

Pros:Was a nice vehicle.Cons:Who ever takes care care of cleaning and preparing the vehicle for the next client is sub-standard. Vehicle was not clean inside or outside (cleaned it myself). No windshield washer fluid. Oil life indicator repeatability showed change oil soon. Tire showed major wear on them.Reviewed May 5 2019

Pros:The drop off was easyCons:The car wasn't ready. I had to wait for it to be cleaned in which they did a quick job so the roof of the car had dirty footprints & handprints on it, there was hair on the head rests, & the back seat were still wet from them JUST cleaning it.
