Everything was good. The only issue was when we picked up the car it took an incredibly long time. The staff moved slowly and didn’t seem eager to help us. On the contrary, when we dropped it off, I was very impressed with how quickly they came to look it over and take us to the airport.Reviewed Feb 11 2026

The first car we got didn't run properly and the 4wd didn't seem to work. The replacement car also didn't run very well and it got a flat tire. The third car we got was great - no problems. The staff were alsways willing to help and were very friendly. the insurance costs were outrageous.Reviewed Jan 4 2025

Cost was supposed to be $224.97 for a week, plus I paid about $88 for Allianz insurance when I booked stateside. On arrival at the rental place in Costa Rica I was told the Allianz insurance only covers collision, and I also need liability insurance. Not sure if this is true or a scam, but ended up paying $495 for the week (rental plus cheapest liability insurance option). The car had 74,000 miles. Low pressure light came on on the last day, so i had to have the gas station pump up the tires, though fortunately did not go flat.Reviewed Mar 21 2024
