I was told to not rent from Kayak as it is not accurate and they don’t have the type of vehicle Kayak was offering me for the price. He then told me they only had an “SUV, similar to a RAV4”. What he was trying to rent me was a Kia Sol, I didn’t realize that until I went to the physical car. I went to the booth near the cars and complained that I was told they only had this “SUV”, but there were compact cars all over. She apologized and reimbursed me $100 and put me in a compact car. The compact car I got had dents all over it and the emblem even fell off the front. The worst part was I was traveling for work and he knew I was an RN, thanked me for my service, then proceeded to try to take advantage of the fact that he didn’t think I knew what he was doing. It was my worst rental experience ! I drove 30 minutes to pick up the car! Address was not correct, and the address was for a junk yard! I call the phone number, it was not working! Phone number was wrong! I couldn’t find the dollar at all and couldn’t get the car! Never go with dollar anymore!Reviewed Mar 30 2025

I still had hair and other stuff from previous owner, yet get dinged with 400 dollar cleaning fee. Also the dollar employees especially Marie will lie into your face, even ignores multiple insurance declines and keeps asking as if she wants to jinx your rental.. i was extra careful nothing happened, still having her lie about gas prices and them without consent adding a random cleaning fee just showes how desperate dollar has gotten these daysReviewed Nov 17 2024

Did the “time saving” pre check in to avoid lines the day of and we still waited over an hour to even see an employee much less be given our vehicle. First one had something wrong with the engine that forced us to drive it back and return it the same day. Adding more time and headache to this experience.Reviewed Jun 16 2024
