The biggest issue was a noise coming from the back of the vehicle when driving over 60 m/ hr. I contacted Dollar, but unfortunately, there were no locations anywhere near where I was. it was bothersome because I was hoping that the car wouldn’t break down in the middle of nowhere.Reviewed Jul 24 2024

As an infrequent user, it would have been nice for someone to escort us to the vehicle and explain its features/ operation. My main issue was that when I was doing my search for a car I said I was picking it up and midnight and it let me pick this one, but the location was closed from 10pm to 7am, so I had to take an Uber to my hotel and come back in the morning for the car. Additional charges that I did not agree to were applied at collection. When I realised and tried to get help to correct the errors by phone, email and in person I was repeatedly lied to by different employees. Upcharged to a wild degree for tolls and didn’t make it clear at all. As someone from out of town who is not used to Chicago toll roads, they made it almost impossible to avoid being charged way too much. Added on close to $100 to our bill for maybe $5 worth of tolls. Insane. The car also smelled a little like smoke and had a number of scratches and scuffs. The rental checkout and return area was a small, seedy kiosk inside the parking garage instead of at the desk with the other more well-known brands. I would not rent from this company again—despite the lower price, they’ll find a way to charge you extra anyway. At least they didn’t try to scam us out of any money for the scuffs and scratches that were already there, so that’s something.Reviewed Jun 15 2023

Cons:The counter agent was very rude. We waited for 45 minutes in the line. When we finally got to him, he told us we would have to wait 45 to 90 minutes until our car would be ready unless we upgrade by paying additional $18/day. After he rang the charges , it showed $19/ day. It gets worse. After driving for two hours, the car had engine light. We called the emergency roadside service, I was put on hold for 30 minutes. Next day, the car condition got worse, we drove back to the airport to change the car because the car had trouble starting. When we returned to the airport, the counter agent was at the return center. He was rude. He did not apologize.Reviewed May 29 2021
