Ditch the unreliable public transportation and hop on a hire car, which is most comfortable and efficient way to explore not only Long Beach, but also neighboring Los Angeles and other destinations along the Californian coast. Head to El Dorado Nature Reserve for a picnic date, or drive through beautiful Naples Island in Alamitos Bay. The iconic Hollywood Sign is 30 miles away from Long Beach, and San Diego is a 2-hour ride away.
The two closest international airports from Long Beach are Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and John Wayne International Airport (SNA). hire car offices at LAX are off site, but you can take the free shuttle buses stopping under the "hire Car Shuttles" sign outside the Arrivals Level islands. Car hire services at SNA are situated on the Arrivals hall, between Terminals A and B, across from the John Wayne statue. The domestic Long Beach Airport (LGB) is closer but much smaller. Car hire desks can be found inside the Airport Ground Transportation Center, which is on the opposite side the terminal building.

I didn't like that they didn't have the car I rented or any electric. The trip cost me $50 more because I would have been able to charge the electric very inexpensively at my house. I had to have a gas car. It was nice of them giving me a slightly better car but I didn't like that it didn't have windows I could put down if I wanted.

They did not have a car available in the class I selected. They charged me the upgrade difference for something that I did not have because they did not have cars. She blamed on me arriving early, but I was only 45 minutes early because our flight arrived early.

You rented me a truck they did not have. I needed a truck bed to move a couch. I has to scramble and waste time to get a replacement. I spent more time and money, all because I relied on your reservation. Had I not, I could have easily gotten another truck.
When i took the car i didnt see directly but the tank was half full. Is it normal?

Despite calling in advance to confirm details of any reason I wouldn’t be able to get vehicle I was told at the location of yet another reason why I wasn’t able to rent a vehicle that could have been mentioned during both calls I made.
This was by far the best car rental experience I’ve ever had. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently. There was pressure or efforts to upsell. And the return was extremely fast. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone interested.
