I will never use Sixt again. I pre-paid for a car rental. Two days before arrival I was informed that they had no cars, but they would help me - on arrival - to find a car from a different rental company. On arrival the desk in the terminal was unmanned. No one answered the phone at the other terminal. Only messages received were via WhatsApp. After over an hour I rented a car from a different rental firm. Sixt refused to initiate the refund until the day of my departure. The monies arrived today but the experience was awful.Reviewed Jan 8 2024

We booked a car rental to be picked up at 9pm. The info we were sent said the rental place was open till 11. They actually closed at 7pm the girl said so we had to take a cab to our hotel then back to the rental place the next day to pick up the car. Pros:Nothing. There is no one thing which I likes.Cons:They ripped me off. Overcharged. Used our poor language, threatened us, made us sign paper without explanation under pressure. They said ALL THIS HAS TO BE ON CONTRACT. BY later in their email they said it wasn't necessary. We pay over $600 more. The Allianz insurance wasn't legit for their policy.Reviewed Mar 20 2019

Cons:Sixt tricked US info buying effectively mandatory insurance, which totalled 3x the original price. 400$ instead od 120$. Super-bad, would never recommend or use again.Reviewed Jan 21 2019

worst rental everPros:nothingCons:waited in line for an hour to check out the vehicle, One customer rep. to help with one person in front of me. At check out the rental agreement was in Spanish, they blindside you with an $1100 hold on your card, force you to take the insurance. The vehicle had no shocks or struts, you felt every bump. The trunk had leaks were all my luggage was wet. I'm writing to the company sixt for poor service and to bee compensated.Reviewed Sep 7 2018

They didn't take the insurance.Pros:Nothing.Cons:I booked a car through priceline and using kayak. I booked the car and on the very same page priceline/kayak asks if I want insurance. I did and so I paid for it. When I got to the rental company, they told me that they didn't take the insurance and that I had to go through them. I asked how much it was and it was $100 dollars with a $1000 deposit. Yes, a thousand dollars. I cancelled the reservation there and just went to a resort instead.Reviewed Aug 16 2018
