As I arrived to pick up the car and I found out at 23:45 at night that my rental did not include insurance, Hertz charged me 130% of the initial rental price for insurance. I did cause a very small damage to the car: a scratch so small to a wheel rim that one of the Hertz employees receiving the car couldn't even see it but the other employee receiving the car insisted on reporting. I was charged over 550 euros for the damage: a value that far exceeds the price of a new rim for a minute damage that everyone knows will never be fixed. Enjoy the money, greedy Hertz! Ease of pickup and drop off, good car. But service person at pickup was rudely brusque and said we would be charged a very high fee if we wanted a GPS. I knew that all cars have a GPS, so declined to rent one. The car had a GPS, but needed a software update. I used that but mostly my mobile phone.Reviewed Aug 24 2024
