Car that we were given was good on gas.Cons:
The staff truly needs a crash course on customer service. There were 3 people ahead of us getting car rentals and every single one had some kind of issue with the staff. There was no management on duty. One particular employee raised his voice when he got in a disagreement with a customer. Overall, this place is just not worth the couple bucks you save by renting from here.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
Compared to prices for airport car rental, this was about one third of the price! It meant travelling by Skytrain downtown, but well worth it. Staff were so helpful, upgraded my car, and gave good tips for returning it early at a different location to simplify my departure. Nissan Elantra was great on gas - had a great trip and no worries about car.Hertz

Pros:
The desk staff were quite good, but the pickup was delayed and it put me late for another commitment. The drop-off was painless. The pickup state of the car was an embarrassment to Hertz.Cons:
I picked up the car in a poorly lit underground parkade. The car was not clean. Exterior wash was pathetic - a lousy effort to get the car ready for me upon pickup. As I drove along I found trash in the interior door pockets. As I got out of the parkade I could see that the windshield appears to have never been cleaned and the car wreaked of cigarette smoke. Kind of disgusting actually. And the tank was less than full. I chose Hertz because it was a strong brand. Too bad the experience was not up to basic cleanliness standards, never mind that things should have been far better given the sanitation requirements for coping with Covid9.2 Wonderful

I rented the car thinking it was from the airport Vancouver National location when really it was reserved from the downtown National location. The manager was VERY good and assured me I would have a vehicle. And, I did. thanks.Sixt

I was charged more than I was supposed to. The guy who was supposed to check the car was unprofessional and rude. He did not greeted us, he did not have a pen to put on the document that the gaz was not fulled as result they charged us more than $60 for the gas (3/4 full). I had to ask for my invoice as they charged me without letting me. I have not been refunded yet but it seems like it has been done but no updated invoices. "weird fees " that increased my invoice by $50. Don't waste your money and time there. Budget or enterprise are more professional and easy to deal with.Thrifty
