I had a disappointing experience with this car rental company. I rented a small Kia for only about 7 hours, but I was required to provide a CAD 1,500 deposit/hold, which felt very high for such a short rental. The deposit was also not returned immediately. When I called after 3 days, I was told it could take around 10 to 15 business days, which can be up to about 2 to 3 weeks. I feel this is too long and should have been clearly explained before I signed the rental agreement. At pickup, I had to wait more than 45 minutes while standing, and after that I felt rushed to sign the contract without a clear explanation of the conditions, including the deposit return timeline. I also found a few water bottles left in the trunk and had to dispose of them myself. Overall, the process felt poorly explained and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to use this company again.

The rentals are cheap, so don’t expect Tier 1 cars or overall service. They will also hold $1500 deposit on your credit card, 5-7 business days as per the contract, but it’s been 12 business days I still don’t have a refund. I have a second rental with them at 5 business days and that’s a $3,000 being held on my card. Just be aware.

No cars were available at all when I showed up to pick mine up. Ruined my day and cost me a lot of money. Never going to use Kayak or Thrifty. Never.

I wouldn't say it was fantastic, hate it when they try to sell you extra insurance. When you already have it. Ordered a wildcard for 2 large cases they said I didn't. Hidden costs I proberly got charged for that I don't know of.

We waited over 2.5 hours to receive our rental. Management provided wait times that were not accurate: first we were told one hour, then 1.5 hours, the 2 hours ect. It was finally 2 hours 45 mins later that we received the rental. We were also told that they were extremely understaffed and dealing with operational problems. We have two young kids under the age of 5 so you can imagine how upsetting this was not to mention how it created an unpleasant start to our vacation. To pay a premium for a rental, I expect better service and lower wait times.
Great. Easy pick up, easy drop off and great value.

The pickup with Avis at the airport in Vancouver BC (YVR) and the return at the airport in Portland OR (PDX) later the same day were very professional and without any concerns. The car was absolutely fine, a Hyundai Sonata which was a complimentary upgrade from a Toyota Corolla. The cost however for this one day rental was quite expensive, which I presume is a manifestation of renting in Canada and returning in the United States. But since it was less expensive than two airplane tickets (though not by much) it was the option we chose. Other than the cost, the rental was absolutely fine.

I was trying to change my reservation due to the snow tire things. The policy of BC is every car should put the snowtire on the vehicle from Oct. 1 but I didn't know that. Anyway, It was provided at the desk as I requested via the rental car platform provider but it will be great when I reserve the car from the first place via the online.

I called several times to arrange an airport drop off (unbeknownst to me booking was for a remote location drop-off) but was told it was not possible. Upon bringing car back to remote location (cutting into vacation time) I was told it would be better to return it to the airport which I ended up doing the following day. Get it together!!! Grrrrrr.

the young lady was at hertz seems very unprofessional. she did not mentioned that how to drop off car keys or she did not mentioned that how much money they will charge on my credit card. they did not give any explanation. she just hand over the keys to me and get my signature. even when i asked her question she answer that question falsefully. the another co worker interrupted her and corrected answer. worse experience ever

All was good. Was served quickly. The car they gave me was pretty good. The only reason I would give 4 star is because they didn't give me a car with a full tank. I don't like getting a half tank car, and then having to try and fill it to that level. I ended up returning full, so hopefully the next guests keep it at that.

We were pleased with the price and the vehicle was clean. Drop off was a breeze. But we did not realize that the car would have to be picked up far away from the airport. We waited more than half an hour for the shuttle because the number we called to request pick up had an automated service that failed to inform a live person that we were waiting. We had to call a second time to talk to someone. Also, the car had a lot of cosmetic damage to the outside and was not the kind of car we had reserved (Camry).

Car was OK but windscreen was broken and the car had some issues like a failure with airbag-system. It wasn’t very clean. Value is ok but not really cheap. The staff was friendly and the pick up from the airport was very easy. We had to wait 45 minutes because the car wasn’t ready when we arrived.

Very easy and efficient. We landed, picked up our bags then called and they came to pick us up right away. Just a few minutes away from the airport stopped in to sign the paper work and we were on our way. Drop off same thing, very easy. Dropped vehicle off they do a walk around and shuttled us to the airport right away. Awesome experience. Great price.

They tried to give us a vehicle that was smaller than what we requested for the same rate. Then they gave us a vehicle that didn’t hold the amount of luggage that was advertised. We had to put luggage on some of the seats and in between the front seat and next row of seats.

My wife broke her wrist enroute to Canada requiring surgery in Fiji. At pick up I asked Dollar to change name of driver to mine. They said that the booking agent would not pay them if they didn't charge me NZD289 as an additional driver. In the circumstances I thought this totally unreasonable.

Friendly staff, smooth transition from airport to shuttle to rental location. Vehicle was clean and ready to go. No hassles with upsells or unnecessary add-ons. Staff was helpful at every turn.

Their team that mans their phone lines are extremely rude, they interrupted me constantly, would not listen to me properly, were extremely rude in the way they spoke to me. I also had to call multiple lines to get the correct information. I was hung up on. I was not given any votes of confidence when attempting to change booking times. I was also double charged on my card and they have claimed I returned the vehicle late resulting in this excess fee which is not true. When I showed up to pick up my vehicle, it was not ready (even though I had run to confirm my vehicle would need to be picked up earlier) I also went to address emailed to me on my confirmation of booking, this address was incorrect, I had to call 3 numbers to receive help before somebody came to get me to drive me to their new office site. The entire experience was awful.

They didn’t have a car for me even though I prepaid for it. I still have not received a refund for the prepayment. I had to ren a car at the last minute from another (reputable firm) but the last minute rental was much more costly. Mt rental from ADDCAR RENTAL was a SCAM!!

I tried for 2 days to reserve on their site, it kept coming up with a message my bank was rejecting the transaction. Called my bank, they said no merchant was trying to debit my account. Called Europcar, guy said it's an issue with their site, and he couldn't help me. Awesome. Went with a different company.

The price was great. Service to and from the airport was good. This business is the same rental agency that does not have very good reviews. They have done a rebrand and now go by a different name. The car was reasonably clean but smelled inside. There were many scratches on the outside of the vehicle and 3 out of the 4 hubcaps were scratched. If you like the price rent from this agency but document the damage very closely. As mentioned the price point is very good but I feel their advertising is deceptive.

When we arrived the car ready for us was a 5-passenger, not a 7 as we had reserved. After some discussion, an 8-passenger car was made available at the agreed-upon rate, but we had to wait 30 minutes while it was prepared. That car was still not really clean, especially the inside of the windshield. The tires were also way over-inflated. It proved to be a good vehicle over the two weeks we had it. The staff at the location were courteous and freindly, if a little disorganized.

Worst experience I’ve EVER had with a rental car. Despite talking to them before I even left my departure airport, when I arrived in YVR and called them for a shuttle to get the car, they told me they didn’t have my reservation. I had prepaid for the car. I was told they didn’t have my reservation (even though they found it during the first call). The guy in the phone was beyond rude and told me that they wouldn’t do anything for me. They weren’t going to help.
