Pros: The rooms are little pods, but really fine for the price. Very clean. They are having issues with the some of the iPads that control room temp, lights, etc, but assured me this was a temporary glitch, as this was a new batch.
The lobby is amazing and the location stellar. The staff might be the nicest and friendliest of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Inexpensive and tasty buffet breakfast at communal tables gives you the chance to chat with lovely people from all over the world. Rooftop bar has beautiful views.

We stayed in a King Evolution room on the 8th floor, it was a really good size and well equipped. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble for them. My daughter and I wanted to see a particular painting in an art gallery but werent sure if they had the painting. The hotel concierge, without a quibble offered to ring the gallery for us. Pros: Second time staying here in 3 months. Love the location and quality. Able to check in early and check out late this trip, which really helped our itinerary (was rushing into town to go straight to my workshop, so it was nice to check in quickly and be able to put bags in room instead of leaving with concierge). Also was able to upgrade to a king bed since my boyfriend came down with me last minute. Staff was super accommodating. Close to 1/2/3 and C/E trains, as well as a couple blocks from 6/N/R/Q/W trains, so it was easy to get around to east or west side.
I'm a light sleeper and find these rooms to be on the quieter side (we were facing the back of hotel, which faces downtown).

Pros: This is a nice hotel with small but well-designed rooms and a wonderful club lounge with views of downtown NY all the way up to the Empire State Building. Pros: Breakfast was mediocre. Dinner was ok but the wait staff needs to pay more attention to details. And the customer. When they delivered dinner they dropped the plates and disappeared. We didn't even have a chance to ask for silverware, which one of us was missing. We shared until we could get someones attention. Not an easy task here as they seem to go with the NYC theory, Don't make eye contact. When we were finished I asked the wait staff for our check (I hadn't seen our waitress in a while). We waited, and waited, and waited. I finally saw our waitress by the bar so I went over and asked for the check.
All in all, a mediocre experience. The only plus is the location. I won't return. Not really worth the $$$.

Pros: I didn't do a ton of research on Hotel Indigo before booking my stay and arriving at the hotel. We were in NY for a wedding and we received a discounted room rate as negotiated by the groom. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is hip and clean and in a great location. The proximity to Katz's is worth it. There is also really great coffee in this neighborhood. Try Ludlow right across the street from the hotel or Cafe Vita only a few blocks south.
I would say the due to the room rate discount we were pretty lucky with the price we paid as the hotel was booking around $500 per night (their regular fee). I would say that $500 is over priced for that hotel but $350 or lower is a great deal.

Pros: My boyfriend & I arrived separately. So I left a note with front desk reception to ask him to meet me for dinner. When he checked in, it was communicated. We originally had a suite next to the elevators on the 7 floor, but the white decor left me feeling too whitewashed. I requested another suite line on the same floor. Pros: Upon entering the hotel I marveled at the grand chandelier beaming overhead. I felt like I was entering a royal facility! The reception was pleasant and professional, quick to check me in. After unpacking in my room, I asked for a change of room. Due to the surprise of my room facing a wall of another building, scratches on the furniture, low room temp, dark/ not enough light, and low cell phone signal. I called downstairs, and within 5 minutes I was pleasantly upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Suite. Let me say, the Suite life is for me! Yes! My Suite had parque flooring, marble wall and interior. The separate living room had 12 lush red pillows on 2 black striped sofas, complete w mini bar, separate bathroom and a huge mirrored wall. Exquisite! My bedroom was outstanding! 60 inch flat screen TV, golden gilded glass desk, walk in closet and the bathroom had a bidet. Oh what a wonderful experience!

Pros: The design of the hotel was amazing, I loved it! Very Modern hotel! I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to go far to have a drink, I would go down to the lobby bar and have a drink then return to the room! Great crowd! I arrived early, yet my room was ready! The front desk agent Nicholas was very nice and helpful and promptly checked me in! Hotel is in a great location, plenty of restaurants in time square and down the side streets! Can't wait to come back!

Pros: This hotel is everything that the description says - lovely, characterful building, comfortable bed, great shower (and a bathtub) and I was so grateful for the aircon! Many hotels turn it off when you go out and you return to a nasty hot room - not the case here! I had one of the smaller rooms, but it was still huge, and beautifully furnished. Good to have real coffee in the room too. I also loved the neighbourhood, close to Little Italy, Chinatown and the Lower East Side, there are lots of interesting things to see and do (and eat!) and it felt very safe. It was a pleasure to stay here.
