Pros: The hotel is quite small and has limited rooms making it feel a little more exclusive for some reason.Rooms are completely new and spacious. The bathrooms are clean and the hotel provides enough towels for 4 people in a room for 2!The hotel also seems to provide towels for the pool (I am not sure of that, however, I saw some guests bring back yellow towels to the reception). Also, their restaurant L'Aromate was a beautiful and delicious place to enjoy a meal or two :)

Pros: PROs: Great location. Comfortable beds (if you like a firm mattress). Lots of public parking nearby (ie.lot behind hotel) for $10-$17 / day so did not use the valet parking on site. Clean room. Nice, new modern decor. Used the free wi-fi in room without any issues with speed or reliability. Some previous reviews have complained about the paint smell and/or down feather smell. I noticed a slight "new paint smell" in the halls but nothing noticable in room and certainly not offensive.
Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile is conveniently located in the heart of the city ideal for business travelers and art lovers - at the foot of lush Mount Royal Park, next to the renowned McGill University and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Enjoy the masterful blend of minimalist design and warm sophistication at our luxury hotel embellished with Victorian accents from the estate of North American railroad pioneer William Cornelius Van Horne.

Pros: The Bonaventure is a rather unusual hotel, built in a very late 20th century modern style on the top 2 floors of an office/convention center building. Its rooms are laid out in a ring, surrounding a center lobby area with a bar and restaurant, year-round outdoor heated pool and hot tub, and a pond with ducks. Rooms are sleek and modern in a 1960-70s way, but comfortable and updated with firm beds and very nicely sized bathrooms. The rooms are very quiet, The ring layout means that there is minimal hallway noise and the hotel is high enough and with thick enough windows that there is almost no street noise (and many rooms face inner courtyards instead of the street). Staff and service are friendly and efficient, without being intrusive. Bonaventure isn't super-deluxe, but it is a welcoming, calming, and unique experience.

Pros: Overall the Hotel Staff made up for the deficiency. The complimentaries were not up to standard with the basic complimentaries offered in other Hotels. Some basics like fridge and microwave require extra funds and they dont come cheap. Overall, the staff were nice, warm and willing to assist in any way possible. I'll stay here again if in Montreal, although I'll have to call to ensure the basics are provided without extra cost before my arrival.
