Pros:

The price was great, the car (Fiat 500) was perfect for a road trip in Italy and it was a great drive.

Cons:

It's terribly complicated to pick up a car at Malpensa airport in Milan. It seemed like every car rental desk had everyone waiting 2 hours to be served. I think Hertz is particularly worse because they only have one desk with a handful or less of agents serving Hertz, Dollar & Thrifty rentals. First, it's not easy to see the signs that Dollar rentals can be picked up at Hertz. I lost a 1/2 hour just trying to figure out where to go to get my Dollar rental. Second, the wait was 2 hours...really 2 full hours on the morning I arrived. It does not help that Kayak's instructions say that Dollar is "outside of the airport" which is not true. It's with all the other car rentals right in Terminal 1.

Waited over an hour to get to an agent to check in and get my car. Way to few agents for the number of people renting cars. Completely unacceptable

Cons:

It would be more honest to include items like VAT and "other fees" that are charged by rental companies so consumer could make more accurate price comparisons. We paid almost twice the advertised price advertised on Kayak. Not happy customers.

Cons:

Fuel Tank was not full, There were many damages reported at the time of pickup, which they did not disclose. So I had to spend another 20 minutes to let them know and get it vouched before I start my journey. Also there was no clarity in small levies charged over and above the contract value.

Really nothing.

Cons:

They tried to give us a car under the category we had rented. when we asked to change, the staff wanted us to pay more for a car full of cigarete smell because "there is no other car". after more than an hour negotiation, they agreed to give us a new car which was all the times at the parking. Also the staff in the picking/dropping point is really unhelpful, all the times smoking and no attention to customer at all.

Dropping the car off to get rid of it.

Cons:

Said car was new, it had 26000kms on the clock and a massive scrape along the front right fender which wasn't marked on the sheet. I had to beg the lady to come out and mark it as damaged.

Cons:

They didn't make some of their (nonstandard) rules clear. That's fine... but then when we tried to address these issues with them they were unwilling to discuss. Bluntly, I feel like I was mugged. I won't do business with them again. I will go out of my way to make sure my friends don't deal with them.

Upon arriving in Milan Italy, we had to change our plans at the last minute, and went to the SIXT counter at the airport. I booked online while standing at the terminal and when we got there, it would’ve been a delay with the car I reserved. Fortunately, they were able to get us a better car at a similar price which was immediately available. The experience and service went above and beyond. Special thanks to Sara Faize who worked at making the process very easy and satisfying.. Sara gave us her contact information and followed up with emails throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend SIXT.

Lots of fees that were not transparent. The taxes were 800 euro and we got stuck with a large SUV when we booked a sedan. Plan on paying 2-3 times the amount quoted.

Pros:

Very nice customer service at airport.

Cons:

The price jumped up to double what we originally rented it online for because they added the top insurance on the car. Because of this reason we will not rent again with Sixt. We had a Fiat 500 for one week and paid over 1000 euros when the price we agreed on was a little over $500 when we booked it in the US.

Drivalia offers cars with letter "e" in description. You don't know-it is full electric. To me it is economy. In Italy the infrastructure for electric cars is poor. Also,Drivalia uses Chinese MG small suv hybrid. This is really weird hybrid you don't want to drive. Eats lot of gas and you have to change this hybrid like full electric car. Milano int. Airport does not have good signs to get to rent garage to drop your car.

I ordered a convertable mini (with the picture of a MINI). I am aware of the categories, but I did not expect to be offered a FIAT 500 even if the roof should be slightly opened. My great disappointment is clear. The lady who took care of me was everything but nice and empathetic. After explaining what I expected and what I paid for, only one option was presented: to actually add twice the price. one can easily understand why I will not buy more on your site, and away from everything related to Europcar. I'm going to Norway in two weeks, and this morning I rented a car through my "old" rent a car company. Even if it seems that it is a little more expensive in comperison to your site and similar, at the end it turns out that the cost is sane and less expensive and especially I have someone to talk to if there is any problem.

Pros:

I have been renting cars at Malpensa for over a decade. Recently I had a bad experience with another car rental agency and was very nervous about renting a car again. However, This experience was fantastic and I would recommend Anyone to use Alamo/National/Enterprise/Locauto when in need of a car in Milan.

1. I live in a small village with no street names. It took a very long time in the pickup desk to overcome the no street name reality and let me out of the office. 2. The refueling service when returning is outraging expensive! not fair and unacceptable
