After dropping the car off and being told that the car was okay after the inspection, Hertz over 24 hours later emailed me assessing me over $200 in damages. Is it because I returned the car full of gas and they couldn’t charge me over $200 for that? I don’t know, but it’s super shady in my opinion. Emailed them, and it’ll take 10 business days before I even get to hear back. What a joke!Reviewed Nov 16 2022

Pros:Pretty much everything. Drop off at MUC is excellent, takes just secondsCons:Hertz office at Dreispitz in Basel is hard to find. Signs lead to a carwash, not to the office. The vehicle had two tires inside, taking up the entire trunk space. The guy at the office was telling me unbelievable stories that I have to carry those tires with me. Fortunately in another Hertz office they gladly took those tires from me.Reviewed Jan 1 2017

Great car, nice staffPros:Everything about the rental went smoothly, the car was clean and comfortable.Cons:It was a bit confusing to find the rental place, since Basel airport has a french side and a swiss side. Of course it's not Hertz's fault, just pay attention if you're renting in Basel airport. Another point is that we paid in advance for a second driver and ended up not using it - would have been nice if there was an option to add another driver in the middle of the trip.Reviewed Oct 11 2016
