Despite bringing evidence of insurance coverage from my credit card, they would not honor the rental. I called my US Mastercard and they confirmed I had insurance coverage. They would not accept it and wanted me to pay €60+ a day for coverage. I had rented from both National and Alamo in the prior week for 2 different trips and I had no issues. Avoid Europcar is my advice!Reviewed Sep 8 2024

Be very careful about insurance. They will charge a fortune. They are also very careful about giving you a car on the basis that your credit card covers the insurance. They will insist on a letter that explicitly states the insurance coverage is good in Ireland. It is not enough for the letter to state "worldwide".Reviewed Jul 5 2024
