Cons: I paid extra for a small SUV. They insisted a Kia Soul was an SUV. The boy running the counter who said he was a manager had some of the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed.

Pros: Very poor customer serviceCons: I upgraded and then realized later once we used the heater that the car had been smoked in. We were too far to return it. When I requested a reduction in rate I was told it was my problem because I’d driven off with the car

Pros: I enjoyed the car itself, it was good on gas.Cons: I have never dealt with a salesperson so aggressive. I did not want the extra insurance for $190 and he said “well I’m sure the 40 people in the past week with rock chips would feel different.” I told him I believed my insurance was good enough, especially since I pay extra for driving in the USA (I’m Canadian). He said “no, that won’t cover everything, and you know if the car goes in the shop you’ll have to pay $90 a day while it’s in there.” His whole demeanour was aggressive, and the way he spoke to me was very snappy. I left the counter not even wanting to drive the car because he freaked me out. Of course I later spoke with a friend and he told me he was probably trying to scare me into buying the extra insurance. As it is, I returned the car 4 days early because I just didn’t want to deal with it, that ruined my trip a bit but I’d prefer not having that heavy cloud hanging over me.

Pros: The gentleman at the counter was very professional and understanding when i needed to upgrade to a 4wd vehicle. Drop off was super easy as well just hand in the keys and that was it.Cons: Nothing to improve upon in my opinion

Cons: Need to be more upfront about the final price. Ended up paying way more than what kayak quoted originally. Found the extra charges AFTER checkout. That’s deceptive and unethical.

Pros: Supposedly canceled the rental as the car they tried to give us was a compact size and my wife is handicapped and couldn't get in as it was so small. Asked for a mid-size which they didn't have. They offered a Kia Forte which is too small. The manager offered to charge approximately $100 for an upgrade to a Subaru Impreza which is the same size as the Hyundai Elantra we had booked. The manager was NOT HELPFUL and was the only person on duty for both Thrifty and Budget. We went to the next booth to HERTZ rental, explained what had happened at Thrifty and they matched the price we had booked online and provided us with a Toyota Camry XSE for the same price as the midsize car (Hyundai Elantra) that Thrifty didn't have in stock. Went back and supposedly canceled the rental through the Thrifty manager. Still not for sure if they cancelled it or not. VERY POOR SERVICE!! I am retired and do not recommend Spokane and the Thrifty manager!!! He is NOT customer service orientated and does not care about the customers!! Very disappointed in our treatment, however, THANK YOU HERTZ!!!Cons: Courtesy would be nice as well as customer service. They did not have the vehicle which was rented on line and tried to substitute with a smaller car that would not accommodate my wife, the Kia Forte. I tried to work with them on an upgrade, however at approximately $100 more for a car which should have replaced the Hyundai Elantra we had contracted for, this was not unacceptable. I will NOT USE THRIFTY in the future. I have used them in the past and never had an experience like this!! It was totally unacceptable.

Pros: Staff was good, but we didn’t like the surprise about being forced to take insurance.Cons: Car wasn’t ready for use; it literally had a message written in the window, saying smoke damage, and we were switched to a minivan. It was okay, but I wanted a vehicle with better gas mileage.
