Renting at the airport is not good. Avoid it if you can. We dropped the car off at a downtown location and they were great. Drove from Montreal to Eastern Quebec and not a problem driving in Montreal.

The car was good but gas consuming, In the end we were charged 73$ more for gas for 1/4 of the tank !!!! It takes 75$ to fill the car up .... It felt abusive !

The counter should be open until 1am. We arrived at midnight and representatives had already left. Therefore, we could not take the car. Fortunately, Avis had cars available.

Rented during a weekend of major airline disruptions. Considering the pressure, Budget came through. Staff at the YUL branch were top notch. I wish I was able to get in touch by phone directly, or that call center staff were able to provide better location-specific updates

We were in a bind when our connecting flight from Montreal to Quebec City was abruptly canceled. Opting to make the 3 hr drive instead, many other rental companies told us they were out of cars. Not Enterprise. We made a reservation quickly on Kayak and had a car in a matter of minutes. The whole process was a breeze and a special shoutout to the young clerk at the desk for going above and beyond to help us!

I rented thru Kayak the price they gave me was not the price they charged me they charged for a different drop off location which is not true and after menu trying to reach out no answer I won’t ever book thru kayak again they don’t Honoré their price bad bad reviews

It was not an airport pickup, and that was not clear when making the rental. Had to take a taxi to the pickup spot off-site. Was also downgraded without compensation from a Tesla to a regular gas sedan.

Representative at car rental place was honest. Everything was exceptionally poor. We had made reservation for SUV 1 month in advance and did online checkin submitting copy of our license and insurance several days back confirming reservation. When we reach the airport and called for shuttle, the rental place said that THERE ARE NO CARS AVAILABLE. We said we have reservation, they said they can’t help, no cars came back to give it to us and we should look at other places. Ultimately they said they have a Honda civic that they can give and that’s their last car. We went to pick that up to the rental place which is far not at airport. It was basic model Honda civic so we asked for refund for rest of the money since we paid for SUV, they said no it’s same price we can take it or leave it. He also said that they overbook cars rentals by 25% and everyone showed up so we ended up with no vehicle. We took the car but unfortunately we could hardly breath in it because it was filled with SMOKE. we had to leave windows open for 3 days to be able to breath. It was a terrible experience

I arrived and the car that i reserved was not there and they have no solution from me. So i had to cancel direct with the compagny on line and e took me 2h30 to found another car, elsewhere and i couln't have the unlimited km , so i paid more that i was expected.700$ more.very desapointed.no services, no help.no nothing.

There were many unpleasant surprises with our Europcar booking. - This company is NOT on-site at the Montréal airport— you have to take a shuttle to their location - Unclear and counterintuitive pick up instructions— we had to call the company to send a shuttle, and they met us at Departures instead of Arrivals - Very small company and extremely slow service - Require ID and several forms of address verification, things that most travelers wouldn’t have on them (copy of a bill, bank statement, etc) As a US citizen, it felt more like registering to vote than get a rental car. -CARS CAN ONLY BE DRIVEN IN QUEBEC and one neighboring province. Since we needed to cross the US border, the car we’d reserved would not work for us. This was NOT clearly stated during booking or at confirmation. Another person in our shuttle group had the same problem, so it must happen often. - The driver was kind and did let us take the shuttle back to the airport to get a rental car from another agency. - Overall, a HUGE HEADACHE and very disappointing.
