Karen at the customer service desk was a true GEM & PLEASURE assisting me. She gave me information on what cars would be best on gas mileage. Based on my travel plans. When I first arrived at the desk. She greeted me with a smile, and some of the best customer service. I have encountered in a very long time. Even while choosing a vehicle the total staff. Went over and above & out their way. To ensure I was taken care of, and satisfied with my experience. Not to mentionthe drop off of the car was just as easy and great.

We had a late arrival into ATL, and when we arrived at the car rental facility, the Alamo counter was closed. They had kiosks available but they ended up not working. There were signs at the counter saying to go to their nearest partner for assistance, but it was not clear. Finally, we ended up at the Enterprise counter and were helped from there. Once we got assistance, everything was fine - service at the counter was great, same with drop off but it was confusing upon arrival and took a lot longer than needed.

Had to file an incident report for a dent in the rear bumper that was already there when I got the car, mainly because the Hertz employees at the Atlanta Hartsfield airport office did not take photos to document the current state of the car before my rental started. Based on the comments from the other Hertz office I returned my car to, this is a common occurrence. On top of that, the rental paperwork stated that the car had a full tank of gas, when in fact it only had been filled up to 3/4. This is not the first time this has happened with a Hertz car rental for me. When I complained about this at the exit checkpoint at the airport, the Hertz employee “fixed” it for me and updated the paperwork to reflect a tank 80% full (note that 3/4 is 75% and not 80%), but at that point I was tired and ready to go home, so I took it. All in all, employees need to be better trained, especially in cases where customers might get to pay for their mistakes. In the case of the gas tank, I left there with a feeling this was done on purpose to drive profits up. This is such a bad feeling to have about a company.

Beware of this scam very bad experience. This place is all about getting your money and more money than you agreed to when you rented the car.. I chose the car that said suppliers choice one way from Atlanta airport to Tallahassee Florida picking up at 11 o’clock at night and it was cold and they insisted that I take an electric Chevy bolt which has virtually no range. It does not have access to fast charging units like a Tesla all the way to Tallahassee Florida. It was a nightmare. I argued with the girl at the front desk telling her to give me a gasoline powered car, she wanted over $100 extra for the upgrade. My rental was $50 and for gasoline powered car she wanted $197 and if I didn’t pay the difference I had to take the electric car so beware of the scam never rent a car that does not have a charging network especially when it’s cold at night. The range was virtually nothing and I was constantly spending my whole night sitting at chargers, trying to get chargers synchronized to be able to pay for the service. It was just a big nightmare and I spent 30 minutes arguing with this girl begging for her to put me in a gasoline powered car and I have rented hundreds of cars with Hertz before but now I have different thoughts about the company electric cars should never be sent on a one-way rental because most people do not know how to charge an electric vehicle and they have range anxiety, especially on a car that will not even go as far as you’re going so overall a bad rental experience probably one of the worst that I’ve ever had so beware of the scam because they will get you and it was too late for me to rent anywhere else so I was pretty much screwed but I brought that car to Tallahassee. They have no clue what to do with an electric car but I was hell-bent on getting my car at the price I reserved it at , so shame on Hertz Car Rental you should not treat customers like this. You did it to a friend of mine. Also about six months ago and it was a terrible experience for her. Also, I left bad reviews everywhere I could. I was so mad on the way home that I had nothing to do while I was sitting at charging stations other than leave bad reviews for Hertz.

My experience was excellent. The staff at Hertz Atlanta was friendly and made getting a rental car easy. We made the reservation. Hertz kept us informed. We got to the airport and the agent waited on us. She told us how to get to where the rental car was. We arrived and the lady said, pick any vehicle in row 4! We picked it and drove away! The vehicle was clean, it fit 4 or 5 people and their luggage easily. The FORD Edge was easy to drive. We returned and the man guided us to a row, We jumped out, got our bags and made our way to the airport. Then, by the time I was in line waiting to go through TSA, I had my rental car receipt. Thank you Hertz Atlanta for an excellent experience during the Thanksgiving holidays.

I was sold additional, unnecessary items without my knowledge when renting. I was not asked, and they were included in the bill. Also when I got to my driving destination I saw that there was damage to the rear quarter, which was evidently there when I picked up the car. No one looked at the car with me at pickup. When I returned the car I mentioned the damage and was required to fill out a damage report. I refused to sign it since I did not cause the damage. I will never use Hertz in the future.

Although booked 24 hours early, at the airport the rep told us you have to wait for 1.5-2 hours or else go somewhere and find another car. They did not give us the car and asked to book somewhere else. Horrible experience. Never ever will book EZ car rental.

The representative at the front desk (inside office) was very courteous and upgraded my car because there were none available at one of the pick up areas. Other than that I can’t think of anything.

My first car was barely clean on the outside, wheel was shaking at 60+ mph, returned car and was charged a full tank of gas when the I barely used 1/4 of a tank. Service was mediocre at best. Never renting from this company again! Manager did not include in the notes why I returned car.

They are dishonest and do not even tell you the whole truth when renting the car. The girl told me $20 for unlimited gas but never specify that it was $20 per day. They do not tell you how much gas cost to fill up and will send an email receipt instead of telling you the cost up front and deposits.

The staff was friendly at first until she stated the vehicle size I purchased weren't returned yet. Normally when a rental company is at fault you receive a updrade but no. I had the option to wait a hour to hour and half or more for full-size car to be returned. Then when I took the option to get smaller car my price difference wasn't given then. I was charged the peice for full size and she would send email to manager for them to try and give price credit. As of now I still haven't received email stating what that refund will be or when given.

Cons:

The car smelled first like cigarettes and later as the day grew it smelled like weed. That smell didn't leave the vehicle the entire time I rented it.

The staff was friendly and the drop off was very simple.

It was very difficult to find the kiosk, and the wait was very long. The car was dirty inside and smelled VERY strongly of smoke. I bought air fresheners and rode with the windows down a lot. The tires were not balanced -- the passenger side were both over 36 and the driver side were at 28/27. I had to put air in the tires twice while I had it.

Directions to the drop off location in Chicago were a bit confusing. Google takes you to the front of a building, but the drop off is actually the parking garage behind the building. Other than that, my rental experience was great.

I still have not got my refund for my deposit of $300.00 4 days after I returned the vehicle, and budget airlines does not have anyone I can speak to on this. So at this point, after calling over 6 times and not being able to get anyone, I’m going to escalate the hell out of this until budget Car Rental refunds me my deposit of $300.00.

nothing to like. horrible service, gross car, huge van instead of compact, so much wrong with this experience. at least we got a carseat we requested for the toddler, that's the only thing that didn't go absolutely wrong.

Cons:

I waited for 6.5 hours after my scheduled pickup time, exhausted after an international flight with my family (including a small child), and was eventually given a huge family van instead of the efficiency I requested. It had a gross muffin on the floor, and caramel or something gooey on the center console area. Staff was outrageously rude, and I wasn't the only one waiting for hours. It was such a nightmare. I've never had such a horrible experience with a rental car.

Once we made it to the car rental facility via shuttle (all other car rentals are on site…that was the first alarm bell that went off), we had to wait about an hour until our name was called (we were second in line!!). The staff was moving at a snails pace. I almost thought at one point that they were going that slow so we would get frustrated and leave. It almost worked. Once my name was finally called, the guy was going through the contract with me and suddenly it was an additional $120!!! I asked him to explain that to me and there was a $20 daily charge for going to another state (our trip was 1.5 hrs each way) and an $80 fee for insurance. That’s such a scam! Most personal car insurance plans cover rentals. I had to show proof of insurance (had my husband send a pic) and he removed the fee. The gas tank was only half full and I was told to bring it back at that. Also a scam bc it’s harder to control than a full tank, so I brought it back at 3/4 tank. The entire experience was so frustrating. I will pay the few extra dollars to go to a legit car rental for now on. What a joke!

There wasn’t anybody to check the car in when I returned to remind me to look in the middle console. The people before me left keys and ear pods in the middle console. Customer service was terrible

I was surprised it wasn’t at the rental center at the airport in Atl. I had to take a sky train from the airport to the rental center. Then there were vague signs from the rental center to leave the building to a car and shuttle pickup area. I had to call three times to request a shuttle and waited 30 minutes for that. Once at the rental center I was the first person there. A very slow moving guy took my information and gradually got it entered. Then he walked off with no word for over twenty minutes while a line of people piled behind me. He finally returned with the car. I actually think he was working hard to wash the car the whole time but we were all confused. Once I got in the car the check engine light was on and it rattled when I drove. When I reported it to the team there they didn’t seem to worry and said their mechanics will catch it when they inspect the car.

The vehicle was fine. The shutter driver was nice, professional, and friendly.

Cons:

The front desk representative. Directions where to meet the shuttle. As well as the pick up. It took 20-30 minutes to pick up the vehicle and less than 10 minutes to drop off the vehicle.

They charged me $17.65 for 2 gallons for gas even though I filled up the car right before I brought it in just 3 miles from the drop off location. Scammers! The car was completely full! Their process for trying to get a refund for fraudulent charges is ridiculous. They have no one you can even talk to on the phone. They’re liars and thieves.

They had NO cars. I got to counter and they said it would be a 3-4 hr wait unless I wanted to pay for a SUV. And they werent going to comp the price, Inwiuld have to pay $75 more. Also because I was paying with debit they wanted to take the deposit, of course, AND run a credit check! All because the only car they had left was a suv! I never did get rental becuase others were out also and turns out the were out day before as well. They should have cancelled my res so I knew to book elsewhere. First and last time with Dollar.

I booked more than a month in advance for SUV but was not told until heading to the lot to receive the vehicle that Dollar had not had SUVs to rent for about two days. And because they are the only Dollar in the state there is not another location to search. Dollar’s practices are deceptive. I will not be renting from them again.

They advertised they were an airport van rental company. My flight arrived at 6 pm and when I called to get a shuttle to pick up my van AVR rental was closed (hours are 8 am to 4 pm). I had to rent a car from Avis at the airport and when I called AVR Rental the next day they refused to issue me a refund. Terrible company. Should not be allowed to list their vans on your site alongside normal rental car companies.

terrible. van was disgusting, features in the van didn't work. not maintained, they tried to scam me by saying i went over the allowed mileage. they tricked me by saying they had unlimited mileage in the listing but told me it wasn't when i picked it up. place is horrible.

Don't even think about renting from this Company - First off - didn't find out it was off-airport until I prepaid and received the confirmation, then couldn't cancel. Company is under staffed, left standing on the curb at the airport for over an hour waiting for them to pick us up - Employee shows up in her own mini van instead of the Company shuttle. They take more reservations than vehicles. Witnessed four customers arriving to pick up their rental van that they reserved and they were told - "No more vans, sold out". The only reason we got our van was bc I prepaid online. Also, never informed during the reservation process that the 12 & 15 passenger vans are considered "commercial" and you need commercial insurance coverage. Some personal insurance policies cover commercial passenger vans, unfortunately ours did not, so we had to purchase their insurance. Be aware, if your personal insurance does extend to this type of rental, you cannot take the van until they get a copy of your insurance card, who travels with that !?! The van was pretty beat up on the outside, fortunately it ran well. My lesson that I learned, stick with a reputable, well known rental company.

the did NOT have my car - or ANY car for that matter my reservation for for 7:00 - the sign at the counter said that no cars are available until 8:30 I asked them for a car, ANY car - nothing was available they "over" book online w cheap rates and then hope to figure it out later i ended up renting from AVIS - they had cars left

The car was great, only complaint I have is with check in. The woman was not very helpful. I didn’t not get her name but she talked so fast that I could not even begin to understand or hear her. Seemed annoyed when I asked questions, just rushing through the whole thing. I am not one to leave bad reviews but it was pretty rude. I felt like I was a bother to her, it was a chaotic and confusing encounter. Other than that the car was very clean and nice. Easy and fast drop off.

Upon arrival was told they were out of the size car I had reserved. I was given the option of waiting an hour or more with the hope that a car in that class might be returned or pay almost twice as much to get an the only available vehicle without a wait. It felt like a classic bait and switch.

Tires were almost bald and provided very poor traction on wet roads. Tire pressure guages were not working properly When we dropped the car off, there was no attendent and the spaces were full to capacity. We were charged $40.00 for dropping the vehicle off early. No more Rentals with Europcar!

They charge an early dropoff fee. The women at the front desk booked me for 2 days without telling me and the said she couldn't do anything about it. I called them their customer service and they said I had to call priceline. I called priceline and they said I had to call back in 20 min since their system was down. I had to be at a meeting I didn't have time to wait the 20 min for their system to possibly be up and running to then deal with the cancellation. I will not be using priceline or europcar ever again. It's now a new company policy. We travel 2 days a week typically.
