Cons:When I arrived at the airport to pickup my car - the Alamo representative at the shuttle said there were no cars available for me. Even though I had reserved a car and received a confirmation of that reservation through Kayak. The representative explained that they try to block reservations because they have a limited number of cars available and cannot fulfill all of them. There should be a better way to track this through your site and your rental affiliates.Reviewed Jan 5 2021

Just okPros:While they didn't have my car ready, they gave me another one. The car was cheap relative to others. Overall it was ok and what I expected in the Caribbean.Cons:Car wasn't ready for me. Exactly as agreedPros:I have been going to Sint Maarten for years renting cars. This year Alamo provided the car exactly as per my priceline agreement. No hard sell on insurance and they gave me a car tat had fewer than normal miles.Reviewed Apr 16 2017

Very disappointingPros:NothingCons:Very expensive to drive a heap -- multiple scrapes and dings, windshield wipers were smeary, tire pressure light came on within first day, check engine light came on on third day, AC was weak (and if turned up made a continuous clicking sound that wouldn't quit until it was turned back down. Drive like a bucket of bolts, and cost nearly $700 for a week (with insurance, which seemed important given the condition of the car, not wanting anything blamed on me). They also take a $750 deposit against your credit card, which they return to you if they deem there is no further damage. We took pictures of the car before leaving the lot, and got that money back.Reviewed Mar 20 2017

Try somewhere else if you want a place with servicPros:Got a free upgrade...because they did not have our car in.Cons:They asked the hotel so they could reach me to replace the car, then decided I should just stop back in.....stop my vacation to see if they have the car.....not to be a brat, but customer service is their job. I called to check, and they did not pick up or have an answering machine.....don't expect much help. When I returned the car, they said I owed an extra day, and I should check my paper work. I said no, and made them look at the electronic reservation. They copied the item down wrong...keep the reservation information handy as they might try to get an extra day out of you.Reviewed Nov 6 2016

Pros:Very good value. Car functioned very well.Cons:Car (Jeep minivan) was bigger than I wished I'd rented for a small Carribbean island.
