Company is not clear about charges and even didn't want to give a printed receipt after we returned the car. Alleging within 30 min you would get by email. We had to insist because we were leaving the city without knowing final charge. When he finally printed the receipt there was 40 dollar difference from what he told us verbally.Reviewed Jan 18 2024

Alamo as some others on their groups are nothing but thieves. They scam me from a luxury car to a cheap one claiming that AMEX didn’t cover insurance for the luxury car while holding in their hands a letter from them stating that I was covered. But still charged me the luxury car rate blaming on Kayak taking their share off the top first. In other words they pretty much said not to use Kayak at all. I wouldn’t recommend Alamo or any of their affiliates to a dog. I’m not the first one they’ve done this to.Reviewed Jan 15 2024

Cons:Took the midsized SUV. Toyota. For going up in the mountains. Had a gutless engine, smaller than the sedan. Had to put it in 1st and redline the tac to go up paved roads.Reviewed Sep 6 2019

Cons:There was hidden cost not disclosed to us when we reserved the car online. We were only made aware of this hidden cost (mandatory insurance) when we picked up the car at the airport. The price to rent the car more than doubled the price we were quoted at the time we reserved it online.Reviewed Jun 25 2019

Cons:We returned the car after one day with a barely noticeable chip in in the paint at the bottom of the front bumper - probably from a small rock that kicked up in the road. They charged us $125 for the “damage we caused”.Reviewed Apr 27 2019

Pros:NothingCons:I reserved the car online. A few days later I received an email offering insurance with Allianz. I got the insurance.
