Pros: Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean.
Cons: I will never stay in a Travelodge again if this establishment is an example of the brand!!! I was traveling with a 4 1/2 year old special needs great granddaughter and requested easy access. Was assigned a 3rd floor walk up, room 350. Was told it was either that or a smoking room on 2nd floor. Needless to say, I only carried up what I had to have to get through the night! Even so, it was quite a few trips to get what was needed to get ready for bed with a child. The room was awful!!! Deadbolt wouldn't lock, carpet was dirty, bathroom window didn't fit properly in frame, blind was dirty, heater didn't work properly, would blow warm for a few minutes then cold until you raised the temperature, then it was a repeat, warm them blow cold air. When I reported to front desk, the attendant came and used the bible from the drawer to hold the curtain away from blower on heater (took several photos), I don't know what he thought that would accomplish! Fan on unit ran all night ! The door on cabinet with refrigerator needed repaired, hung on one hinge! The toilet seat needed the bolts tightened, would shift when you sat down. There was no safe as advertised. Was assured I would be moved to first floor as unit came available. Thursday morning went to "breakfast", door was still locked at 7:08. Danish was still icy in center, only one pot of coffee, in decaf pump pot. I asked if it was decaf and was told no , it was regular. Was given packets to make my own in room. Later, before leaving to go to friends house I stopped in office to ask procedure to transfer rooms when available since I planned to be gone most of the day. Was told room was available. I had to put special needs child in car seat and lock her in car to move belongings to new room, 116. The commode made awful noise when flushing ! I returned to room at 9pm I carried the luggage into the room along with other items needed in the care of a special needs child. There was NO hot water for a shower! There was still no hot water at 6am. There was NO hot water all day. The desk clerk came, checked it and said it should be hot in 15 minutes. After an hour there was still no hot water and I was assigned a THIRD room, 122, that I had to move all luggage and supplies and special needs child again!!! All this disruption was not good for the child and she was very upset! The latest room, 122, has a dirty carpet just like the other two rooms! This was bad because the child liked to be barefoot and would not leave shoes or socks on. I have a photo of the washcloth used to wash her feet after only 2 hours! I took pictures of the items I've "complained" about. The positive about the rooms is that the bathroom was clean and so was the bed and the blanket and coverlet are very nice, the bed comfortable .
