New Corola, Toyota. If you are not familiar with car make and model features. You need to ask them to show you how things work...steering wheel controls and other premium model items. Also have $300-$500 available credit on you card that you use for rental.

Staff was friendly. Drop off was easy. Rate was better than at airport and easy to get to.

Cons:

They did not have the type of vehicle we reserved. They upgraded us to a luxury vehicle for an additional $10 per day.

I was on a late flight thus when arrived at Thrifty counter was near 9pm on Jun/3rd, 2025. Thrifty counter staffs were very efficient in helping all customers get their rental vehicle. The staff who assist me, Anthony, was exceptionally helpful in explaining my rental condition, fuel options, additional insurance, etc. This is one of the best experiences I enjoyed in car rental in the U.S..

The car was fine with good gas mileage. However, the gas tank was half full when I entered the car and them filling it added unnecessary time and hassle to my pick up experience. Totally avoidable and lame.

I rented the car in March. When i got to the pick up spot - in July - there was no one there at the office. Literally, no employees showed up. When i called Hertz, they said "find another reservation." Zero respect for customers. None whatsoever. Unbelievable. Never again.

Prepaid, booked in advance, showed up and there were no cars for anyone in the entire SeaTac area. I understand this is standard industry practice but it almost forced me to cancel my plans to attend the wedding for which I flew in. Had to book on a carsharing app instead. I did receive a full refund but what I wanted was a dang car.

I paid in advance, but when I arrived at Hertz in Seattle, they had no cars available! This put my family and I in a very bad situation and we ended up paying more than double the original cost to rent from another company. No one from Hertz nor Kayak has returned my calls for a refund. Very displeased with my experience and will never use Kayak nor Hertz again if this is not resolved very soon.

I made the reservation MONTHS in advance. I fly out to Seattle and call them and they tell me they ran out of cars. I was completely on my own and had to pay twice as much. An absolute sham. Kayak is a joke and so is hertz

Couldn’t Rent rhe car and my card got charged twice .. very very poor experience Kayak and appears there are so many intermediaries that no one actually cares about the customer .. utter rubbish! I have to follow up and chase my money and eventually booked directly with Avis .. not going to use your platform ever again. It’s all a joke! And I am sure no one who actually cares will do anything about it so not sure why you do these surveys and waste time !!!
