Pros: staff were friendly. breakfast good. room was very spacious. Whirlpool tub in room was fun. Pool area is lovely.
Cons: The staff were very nice but had very limited English so that was difficult to get advice, directions, etc. The really bad thing was no light at front doorway the morning I was leaving at 5 am to go watch sunset at Angkor Wat. Staff gave me wake up call then went back to sleep on bench in lobby. When I walked out front hotel door, I tripped on uneven paving stones (no light so pitch black) and twisted my ankle. The rest of the day my walking was very limited. Manager was apologetic when I finally found in later in the day, but the damage was done and I still have a sore ankle. Keycard controlled electricity in room so frig went off during the day, so was useless. very hot in Siem Reap and blanket was too warm. By 3rd night I thought to ask for extra sheet to cover with instead of blanket.

Pros: The room was fantastic. Large, spacious, and clean. Hardwood floors and stone showers and fixtures, simple but elegant. The staff was very helpful, and there was a pool (that I did not use). The placement was good, a short walk from the busiest parts of town.
Cons: In an ideal world, it would have more facilities. But that would really be asking too much given the price.

Pros: The best part of my stay at Grand Elysee La Residence was the staff. They were very friendly, warm & efficient, always with a big smile!
Cons: The only thing I would recommend is better lighting and hooks to hang bathrobes in the bathroom. We stayed in one of the cabana rooms and wish there was a vanity since there is definitely enough room outside of the bathroom.

Pros: From the moment John greeted me at reception, I was made to feel welcome and taken care of. They brought a drink and a delicacy right away as I waited in the lobby for my check in procedure. They arranged a driver for the day, they arranged a massage, they suggested dinner spots. Breakfast buffet included. They spoke perfect English. The copious lush wood in the lobby together with tasteful decoration was on par with any western 5 star hotel. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The value for money is unparalleled. Great spot for couples or family. Just go.
