Pros (+) Obviously there are changes due to COVID, but it was an great stay!!
Pros (+) Hip and fun; great location
Cons (-) The water tastes weird; the perfect view of the freeway
Pros (+) But it had amazingly comfortable beds. The decor was fancy, the bathrooms were very modern - I see why it was a little more pricey than average hostels. Had a tv in the room, and with decent channels! Location is prime. Had nightly activities but the night I was there, it was cancelled because not enough people wanted to do it.
Cons (-) The price
Pros (+) Rooms are not huge but comfortable, new and clean. Staff was very helpful and polite. The proximity to everything--wine tasting, breweries, restaurants, the beach and all the shops on State St could not be better. Also close to the train station.

Pros (+) We loved the boutique feel of the wayfarer. The quirky designed reception area, mermaid wallpaper in the bedrooms and state of the art kitchen facilities. Location is perfect to explore Santa Barbara. Staff were super helpful. Great value for money.
