Pros: For our first trip to Portland, this hotel had a prime location for when we did our tours across town. Given the area, it never took much time to get to and from, and to keep busy with all the opportunities available.
Cons: While the hotel staff were friendly, and our room and other amenities were fine, we did get placed in a room next to major construction going on in the rooms next door. Buzz saws at 9:00 in the morning is not something I find appealing about my hotel stay. We stayed for three nights, two mornings. The first morning, I was up early and did not make a fuss. The second morning, the noise was too much to bare. I called the front desk and was offered a room change, but since we were leaving very early the next day, the inconvenience outweighed the option. I understand hotels go through modifications, but my preference would have been for the staff to have enough foresight and not placed anyone in the hall, let alone the room right next to major construction.

Pros: The staff was extremely helpful, and very accommodating. We got upgraded to a larger bed, and was also offered help for dinner options and entertainment every night. They even have a small kitchenette, if your trying to save a little money on food.

Pros: Its been awhile since I have stayed at Marc Spencer but the renovations are amazing. My roomwas on the first floor that used to be mini suites a long time ago. I was lucky to have a room with a view of the stage for this year's pride block part . Was a blast! I'll definetly be coming back!
Cons: The only thing wrong was I wish I could've stayed more than one night :-(

Pros: The hotel is clean, convenient and quiet. I stayed here probably 15 or 20 years ago and it has been substantially cleaned up, renovated, and remodeled. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast buffet and other food serving is great. It's a great value for a great hotel at a great location. Highly recommended.
Cons: They are doing a little construction now (February 2014) so if you need to sleep during the day, you might want to pick another hotel.

Pros: They love dogs and that made us happy! Room was beautiful! We were right next to the elevator and that was super convenient for our dog needs but we could hear the elevator open and close all night which was annoying. Not much you can do about that though.

Pros: We loved everything. The bed was very comfortable. The room was beautiful and spacious and modern. The shower was amazing. It was huge and had 3 different shower heads. All of the staff was super friendly an amazing. The girl working the front desk upgraded us to a suite. without any charge just because we had mentioned it was date night when she asked us what brought us to Portland. The room we stayed in had floor-to-ceiling Windows which was so pretty at night. We have robes too. as a woman the other thing I loved was our shower head shampoo conditioner and body wash pumps on the wall. I normally bring my own shampoo and conditioner when I travel because in those little tiny bottles there's never enough product. So being able to use as much conditioner as I needed was a definite plus. We also had dessert at the restaurant which was super delicious. It was a gorgeous evening in the rooftop bar is lovely. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

Pros: The on-site food options were incredible. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire place was very clean. It was walking distance to public transportation and a short trip away from the downtown scene.
Cons: The only thing I would say is that you should try to get a room that doesn't face the road where Denny's is...the trolley/tramcar thing runs all night and is loud.

Pros: We loved the quality of our king size mattress and how the housekeeping team did an exceptional job tending to our room. We also loved that we were able to text the hotel 24/7 to ask about places to eat, sightseeing, and other recommendations anytime, anywhere! It's really in a wonderfully located spot that is quiet, calm, and relaxing. What a wonderful staff!
Cons: We wish there was a pool on site, but besides that, we couldn't complain!

Pros: Total redo of an older hotel. Very modern. Love having the coffee shop downstairs to grab breakfast at in the am and the hotel restaurant upstairs in fantastic. Great location with easy access to the MAX train lines.

Pros: The facility was very nice and the room was comfortable.
Cons: Upfront, transparent pricing! When I read what the rate was and then the caveat “plus applicable taxes and fees,” there was no indication of what the amount would be or how it was calculated. I was completely astonished when “the fees were $42.00. The room ended up costing more than other rooms I could’ve reserved if I had known a more accurate online price.

Pros: The bed was about the only good thing about the Red Lion. The location near the Moda Center is nice too!
Cons: Loudest hotel ever!! Paper thin walls and a room by the elevator = Not a lot of sleep. $14 parking is ridiculous! Especially after paying for the overpriced room... The cleaning crew started cleaning rooms at 9am. So much for respecting their guest.. We've stayed at a handful of Red Lion hotels and this one is by far the WORST!! Save yourself some money and aggravation and book the Quality Inn across the street!

Great happy staff and excellent realistic affordable room rates made me continue to call this home / I'm happy there and I consider it my new Portland home when I'm in town
Cons: Everything was awesome. Great gob everyone!

Pros: The hotel was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable, with very nice toiletries provided in the spacious bathroom. The location is perfect, down the street from food trucks, great restaurants, and only a short walk to great tax-free shopping. We will definitely consider staying here again.
Cons: Our room had a slight odor of dogs / animals. This should be somewhat expected in a pet-friendly hotel, and is only really noticeable once you walk in the room. All-in-all, this was a minor gripe and will not deter us from staying here again.

Pros: The rooms were fine. The lobby was nice and the happy hour daily was an added bonus. Excellent location.

Pros: Friendly staff; fun, funky decor; nicely situated downtown; and one of the best workout facilities I've seen for a hotel this size (a few elliptical machines, weights, cable machines, pull up bar, etc.).
Cons: The parking is expensive, and works out to be a hidden cost: $26 per day, or $41 if you leave your car overnight.

Pros: Loved the extra space that the room layout provided. Easily accessible at all hours and very friendly staff. The upgrades to the lobby that are currently being worked on should help improve the overall feel. Complimentary breakfast was good too.
Cons: Not that these minuses ruined the experience at all, but I would love to see the breakfast hours extended from 9am to 10am. Also, the bath towels were pretty rough on the skin. I ended up having to pat dry myself.

Pros: I was almost $190 + taxes so not a margin, but like most things - you get what you pay for. It is a top-shelf business-type hotel but would be comfy for family or vacate travel too.

Pros: I called to confirm my reservation and Benjamin assured me that a late arrival was no problem. I was greeted by the bell-hop almost immediately and the gentleman brought our bags to the suite and even went to get us ice. The room was spectacular and had a great corner view. I’d definitely recommend a corner room! The room is stylish and modern and the bath amenities are quality. Absolutely would recommend Dossier!! ***** !
Nestled in a peaceful, riverfront area adjacent to a lovely park, you’d never guess the four-diamond Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel is just a short stroll from the dynamic culture of downtown Portland. The Arts and Crafts inspired lobby features a stacked stone fireplace that you just have to drink hot cocoa beside. The hotel offers free use of bikes and in room yoga kits as well as seasonal outdoor sessions led by our very own on-site yogi. We’re also close to a variety of fun outdoor activities and concierges will happily point you toward nearby hiking, kayaking and fishing. Sweet.

Pros: Everything was great. Room quiet-Bartenders and servers very friendly. Bartender been there 17 years and a server 22 years!! All prices worth the stay and food great especially the eggs benedict! Bacon to die for! Free wine tasting and a real hot spot on Saturday night! Of course Holiday time helps. Front desk very nice and easy check-in and out. In the heart of downtown Portland and walking distance to the famous Saturday/Sunday Market. Going back many times now....and I only live one hour away.
Cons: It is not that I didn't like it but there was no steam exhaust fan in the shower. But heck, small detail!!! Sort of stiff parking however...$33 before my valet tip. Was for 24 hours however.

Pros: Very comfortable bed and staff was quite friendly. Great lobby and building with a ton of character, historic architecture, marble, and classic woodwork. (If you want a sleek, modern, generic place that looks the same as a hotel in any other city, this is not the hotel for you.)
Cons: My room (1212) was quite small, especially the bathroom. Because I wanted a single large bed and the hotel was pretty full, I think maybe I had that oddball room that most older hotels have that are squeezed into a non-regular space. In this case, it also happened to be near housekeeping, which was noisy in the morning with carts being banged around. The room was fine but smaller than one might expect. The bathroom was ok for me but would have been an issue for someone who spends more time getting ready. There was not even enough room to stand squarely in front of the tiny sink because a bookcase/shelving unit was put on the wall right in the area in front of sink. I had to shave at an odd angle, off to the side of the sink.

Pros: Hotel is very old but extremely well kept, it has a kind of regal feel whenever you walk in. Very good service and the location is the best.

Pros: The location is great (close to all the downtown spots). The staff are well-trained and express interest/care.
Cons: The hotel is dated. The look can be charming. But I don't think that chipped paint, old and over-exposed grout, faded/worn carpets, tough mattresses are part of the decor. Maybe other rooms in the hotel have been updated, but my room was not. I also faced a very load street/area so I would recommend asking for an updated room (if they have any), and for a room in a quiet location.

Cons: The walls were paper thin! Twice we had a grumpy neighbor come and bang on our adjacent door telling us to quiet down. first time we were enjoying some wine and we did get in a bit late, so understandable. The second night we were simply watching a movie at 8pm. Ridiculous thing to deal with considering how much we payed to stay there. Pros: Have stayed there before and the Hotel is lovely. Bit of a remodel going on, but it's not intrusive. Service is attentive and Portland-friendly.
Cons: The parking charge of $36 overnight is usurious; we had to park two cars and when asked if they would comp one of them due to our circumstances, they refused. This will cause me to stay someplace else next time.

Pros: Great location. Bar was awesome! Have a "bee's knees"!
Cons: Because I used the door knocker that said I didn't need sheets and towels changed, no one ever came to my room to take the garbage or give us more TP, etc. thankfully there was an extra roll in the room. And one of the valet guys was rude to my uber driver when she came to pick us up. It was uncalled for.

Pros: Loved the hotel theme and everything was quite comfortable. The bed was like laying in a cloud. There was always a doorman at the front door to open the door for you. And the Driftwood Bar was exactly the kind of place I want to have a drink.
Cons: The bathroom needs more counter/shelf space to put your things. The bath towels were on the small side and not very soft. While comfortable, the bed was not at all firm.

Pros: Easy to find right by providence park stadium where I was going to watch a game
Cons: Pricy for how small the room was and my view was of a roof looking across to other rooms and the curtains didn’t close all the way. The bathroom fixtures were loose and falling off. I could have gotten a cheap motel room and just used the train and saved money if I would have known.

Pros: Absolutely the best location. Easy to travel to any part of portland, 5 minute walk from Powell's City of Books. Really nice staff, really nice valet, decent gym, decent facilities. Room is clean and cozy. Not a great view but it doesn't really matter since you can access the parts of the city with a great view within 10-15 minutes.
Cons: Valet is a bit pricey. No view from our window, but it didn't bother me much.

Pros: The location is great, add parking is free!.
Cons: The rooms were too hot as they only have central air, and they can only have either heat or air conditioning on at any given time. My room faced the highway and the train tracks, so it was quite loud. They did however provide earplugs. But because my room is so hot, I had to sleep with the windows open, and unfortunately both of the screens on my windows were so severely torn they were worthless. I informed the staff about the screens and the next day they were still torn when I returned. I called the manager and he immediately came up and fix the screens for me and offered me an upgrade to a suite. So overall not that bad!

Pros: Hotel Rose is what it is: a recently renovated motel. It's clean and comfortable, and staff are friendly. But to call it a four-star hotel is a real stretch, in terms of amenities and service. Compared to other downtown luxury hotels, this is a big step down at the same price.
Cons: The bathroom is tiny, with outdated fixtures and mold stains. The provided toiletries are cheesy Tommy Bahama brand with an intense pina colada scent that I was a bit embarrassed to smell like all day. The bed only comes with a comforter, strangely folded on top of a bare fitted sheet, so you have to make your own bed. The king bed comes with two of these, each covering half the bed. Just weird. When I asked the front desk for room service to give me a top sheet, I was told I could find one in the closet and to make the bed myself.

Pros: Location, friendly staff, hotel restaurant (Urban Farmer), hotel design
Cons: In-room fridge broken, locked out of room for an hour (had to go back and forth to the front desk 4 times before manager concluded that lock needed to be changed, provided with credit for restaurant which was a plus), long wait times for elevator, had higher expectations for a pricey luxury hotel

Pros: Room was beautiful, bell staff was extremely great and cheerful!
Cons: Front desk staff seemed to have an attitude and weren't overly welcoming or friendly, wished the lighting in the bathroom was better, didn't like the setup of the sink/vanity/mirrors. Not functional for putting on makeup or if 2 people wanted to use the mirrors at the same time. Also a tub would have been nice.

Pros: The location and restaurants are Portland favorites. You won't beat either place.
Cons: However, for the price, the rooms were underwhelming. Not great beds, the rooms are small, there was no bathtub, and there were no curtains to block out all the street light (also the sounds from outside were pretty loud).

Pros: There is no pool at this hotel. It's a good hotel but I certainly wouldn't categorize it as a 5 star. You'd expect better room equipments and facilities. I haven't ever seen a 5 star hotel with no pool. Also parking is very expensive. $47/night is very expensive especially for weekend and holiday stays. I recommend to park at street.

Pros: Location was perfect, being close to everything. I could walk almost everywhere and taking the light rail was easy. The 2 bedroom suite was spacious and clean, with large windows letting light in. The included breakfast was nice and had a lot of choice, compared to other hotels I've been to. It included the common toast and cereals, but also had a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes and moreover there was a make your own omelette stand with a chef preparing what you ordered in front of you.
Cons: Elevators are small and having a stroller made it more difficult to get to our room. The Kitchenette is not really a kitchenette, just a little counter space with a small sink, a coffee maker with not enough coffee for more than 2 people, a small fridge and an outdated microwave. I woke up in the middle of the night clearly hearing the conversation of the next door neighbour, so not soundproof.

Pros: Fantastic location in the heart of old town Portland. Two blocks from fantastic public transit system, excellent waterfront park/greenway and the Saturday Market. Hotel has a large and impressive, art-deco (or earlier?) style lobby... and the rooms are furnished in a similar style. Think 1920's.
Cons: For a 'suite' hotel, the kitchenette amenities were lacking. There is a mini-fridge, microwave and two-cup coffee maker... which are all great, except there are no dishes, no cups (just paper cups for coffee), no utensils and no toaster. Plates and utensils were brought up to the room upon request, but after deliberately seeking out a 'suite' style hotel with a kitchenette (they are hard to find in Portland), this was disappointing. Also, we were given a room around the corner and behind the elevators. I'd read in other reviews that this could be noisy, so I was a little concerned upon check-in. Ultimately, this didn't bother me too much as I'm from a busy city and used to sleeping with some noise - but be forewarned that if you get one of these rooms anywhere near the elevators, they are noisy and almost sound like a subway car passing along the tracks. Not jarring or rattling sounds, but still a hard-to-miss rolling, whooshing sound every time an elevator car goes up or down past your floor.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location and upon entering all you see is a grand lobby decorated completely for Christmas. The checkin/check out process was incredibly easy and the staff was friendly. Even got a free upgrade on the room since we were there for only a night which was a huge and wonderful surprise. The room itself was clean and modern and the bed made me want to stay forever. The hotel offered complementary drinks at night which was a nice surprise and the morning breakfast was such a great experience as compared to other hotel's "breakfasts". Overall I would come back to this hotel every time I come to Portland.

Pros: Clean and comfortable, got upgraded to a nice suite. Building architecture was beautiful.
Cons: Parking in the garage was convenient, but we weren't told upon leaving that we still needed our room key to get out. We had to back up and run back into the hotel get abd get a key to leave. Not a huge deal, just wish they would have told us upon checking out.

Pros: Room was great, after changing rooms. Initial room not as described and had to show desk clerk reservation copy from email on phone. Res promised room with a view on top floor. Given previous floor level with view of parking garage. Said were given last available room with view. Had a great view of the city looking towards the river. Breakfast was great! Although the "cooked to order" ad description should of said "buffet" with optional "made to order" omelette. I did, and it was good.
Cons: Having to use Valet parking. Rather a forced choice, because of logistics, then end up in public parking area anyway. Location was horrible. Maybe for some tastes is ok. Rough inner city, area. Not a place for going for walks or taking a young family. Sorry, we love Embassy Suites, but won't return to this one. Again, hotel inside was great. The surroundings not so much.

Pros: Location was great. Parking Garage right across the street. The staff is the best in all departments. Room Service is outstanding and the Food delivered perfect.
Cons: The beds were too hard and I woke up with a back ache both mornings. There is only one door between adjoining rooms and you can hear every thing that is said. Which also made us whisper. High school choir were in town and ran up and down hall way knocking on doors . Possibly they could place kids on one floor or wing as not to disturb your other customers.

Wish guest treated staff better by tipping for being served and cleaning tables was surprised that we were the only ones I could see that tipped everyone for what they did. Cons: I only gave this place three stars because the windows are only single pain which made our room very noisy. Lots of street noise and loud music from the club down the street. Pros: The resturNt downstairs was very good and the rooms are clean... Small but clean. The shower was kind of cheesy. It's great if it's just a crash pad. The Staff and valet service were all very nice

Pros: I loved the front desk staff and the valet staff. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was extremely helpful with tips on activities in the area and food and restaurant choices. They didn't sound rehearsed with their suggestions. They really seemed enthusiastic about their choices which made us enthusiastic about trying them out. The valet staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well. We left some items in our car that they had parked for us and they offered to retrieve them for us while we waited in the lobby. They greeted us every time we walked in and out the door and just seemed happy to be working there and not just working for tips. The customer service was greatly appreciated!
Cons: The main negative comment I have is that their elevator is rickety and loud. I guess because we checked in at night, we got stuck with the room next to the elevator and you really can hear it every time it goes up and down. Luckily, we were just so exhausted from our daytime activities, we didn't have the energy to complain. Also, the housekeeping staff was a little intimidating. At around 4pm, we went back to our hotel room to freshen up and noticed that our room had still not been made. No big deal. We saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway and decided to tell them they can skip our room, but we wanted an extra towel and a new garbage bag. When we asked them, the staff member demanded my hotel room number in a harsh tone and when I told her, she then shouted to her co worker in another language some verbiage while pointing at us. They had a conversation, that sounded like an argument to me, for a few minutes while we were standing there waiting for the OK to skip our room and give us a towel. Mind you, they were standing right next to the towel cart conversing in their language while I was standing there confused.

Pros: We've been coming to Modera over the last five years, and not much has changed in that time. It's still a nice, modern hotel, but it's certainly not as hip as it once was. That goes for downtown portland in general, however. The front lobby staff is excellent as are the housekeeping staff. They seem to understand the hospitality services industry an do everything they can to make you comfortable.
Cons: Hotel Modera continues to only offer valet parking. That's good because there is very little street parking; however, it's not good when the service is overpriced and the valets don't help with getting luggage in/out of the car. In fact, there's no offering to help in any way other than to hand you the valet ticket/keys. The lobby doors are not automatic, so while the valets stand around, you are convenienced to put down your bags, open the door, prop it open with your foot while you grab your bags and make a dash through. We haven't had this problem in the past, but the HVAC in our room was not heating, just blowing cool air. Turning the unit off resulted in the windows whistling due to the negative pressure in the room. The mini fridge stocked with overpriced drinks was also not working. So our room was cold and noisy, and the fridge was warm and quiet. The front desk staff offered to send someone up right away, but since my wife was still asleep and we were checking out in several hours, I declined, but the staff was very sympathetic. The bathroom in our king room was VERY close to the bed, and the sliding door didn't make it much of a 'privy'. I try to keep up with the latest building materials, so maybe the plastic tub liner that shifts up and down under your feet while taking a shower is new and fancy. I don't think we'll be installing one in our home. The hotel's bar/restaurant is unremarkable in all ways and does not stand up to the other great food and drink options in downtown or the east side. Overall, I think we are done with this hotel considering there are so many other options in the area that are better walking distance to good food and drinks.

Pros: Always enjoy the staff, the contemporary atmosphere, the location, and the garden with fire pits. This is my favorite place to stay in Portland for a reasonable price (the nines is great but expensive, and the loft is great but more for an airport stay). The valet parking was pretty good and free for my Prius (they had a special for "green" cars) and really helped to steal my stay (the nines did not offer anything like that).
Cons: If there was anythInfo@VertebrataChiropractic.com I had a problem with, it was that once waited for 15 minutes for my car and when I asked about it, the valet had forgotten about it. He immediately remedied the situation and had the car in 90 seconds, but it would have been nice to have gotten it when it was first asked for. A small oversight, and overall does not take from my five star rating for this property.

Pros: I checked into Hotel Moderna after a very long day of traveling and checking out of another hotel because if wasn't clean or at all what I was looking for. The guy behind the front desk, after hearing of my travel troubles, offered me free drinks in the hotel restaurant to make my day better. He also gave me a map of the city and marked his favorite places to hang out in sharpie. The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, which is exactly what I needed after the day I had.

Pros: It's a great hotel. It's very conveniently located in downtown Portland, and although you have to go a few blocks to find other restaurants, the one in the building, Nel Centro, is outstanding. Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean, well decorated, and hip. Not really a great place for kids unless you're up for taking them out to one of Portland's many parks -- the hotel is too mod for them to play there.
Cons: Only complaint about Modera is that it's at the mega-junction of Portland's light rail, trolley and bus lines, so during the daytime (including VERY early in the morning) the street noise is pretty significant. The rooms are well insulated, so it's not deafening, but you can definitely hear it.

Pros: Friendly staff and the warm cookie checking in was an unexpected perk. The location was also perfect and the room was very clean. Especially liked the bathroom

Pros: I enjoyed the friendly staff, and I also enjoyed the location! It's right in the middle of everything. I didn't try any of their restaurants but they are all places I would have considered if I had a bit bigger of a budget.
Cons: There was alarms set off accidentally during my stay. Was inconvenient to leave my room when I was resting, but other than that it was good.

Pros: Service was excellent as you would expect from DoubleTree and the location and transportation options to and from the hotel and around Portland were perfect as I had things to do all over the city including outside of downtown, so this was very centrally located. Bed was comfortable and the hotel itself is a nice facility.
Cons: Rooms and building are old and outdated. The bathroom was tiny and tight and old and felt icky (note - it was very clean but it was so dated that it just felt gross). The bathroom was wedged in the corner and the toilet pretty much up against the wall. Wished there would have been a small refrigerator. Also disappointed with the small coffee service near the elevator - boasts Portland Roasting Co but didn’t seem like their full craft and quality.
"Situated in Portland, this beach hotel is 1.1 mi (1.7 km) from Portland Expo Center, and within 9 mi (15 km) of Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Moda Center. University of Portland and Vancouver Mall are also within 9 mi (15 km). Expo Center Station is 20 minutes by foot. "

Pros: What I liked about Red Lion on the River was that it was next to the river, away from the business of downtown. I liked that our room was readily available to the exit, gym, and tennis court.
Cons: What I didn't like about Red Lion on the River was when I first checked in I asked about an upgrade and I was charged for a room that was not only already booked but was incorrectly told the price for the upgrade and got charged $140 more. During that time I obviously wanted to correct the error but the hotel associate that was helping me did not know what to do and did not report or ask for help initially and was just answering phone calls right in front of me instead of fixing the problem. Plus, I could have been left with this wrongful charge if I had not said anything. The other staff that were free to help at the time ignored what was going on when they clearly saw that I was upset. I was then told I had to call my bank to cancel the charge, but I don't understand how or why the associates at the registrar could not fix the problem by returning the money back to my card. After I called my bank and fixed the problem myself, there wasn't really any remorse or compensation from the staff regarding this whole ordeal. I don't want this to happen to any other guest, so I hope this helps to prevent any mix up with upgrading and with customer service because I did not appreciate of it while at my stay here.

Pros: The room was beautiful and large with a seating area in addition to the regular desk. Otherwise basic amenity which was perfect. We were on the 4th floor with a balcony that overlooked the pool and the river. The bathrooms look newly remodeled and are amazing. The large shower has a nice bench in it so you can put your toiletries somewhere without balancing them on the little shelf most hotel showers have. The shampoo, soap, lotion, etc. were all nice and smelled wonderful
Cons: Housekeeping cleaned our room and did a fast basic job. They took all the towels that were used and replaced the regular towels, but didn't replace the bathmat so we had to use a towel for that. They didn't replace the shampoo or soap that had been used, no big deal with the soap, but we had used the little bottle of shampoo. The attention to detail just wasn't there. The heat bulb in the bathroom was out and the A/C never seemed to do anything more than blow out room temp air. The first night the room was stuffy so we opened our balcony door to cool the room. This would have been fine, but some place was having a party and it sounded like there was a night club outside our door. You couldn't really hear it with the door closed, but then the room was stuffy.

Pros: Close to both cities I needed to work in. Close to Jantzen Beach shopping center.
Cons: It was rather loud, just all around. If it wasn't the planes taking off or landing, it was the ice machine, or the gardener running the lawn equipment, etc. Also, how is it that I pick the one week out of the the year to stay when the pool and the hot tub are both closed?

Pros: Clean rooms and friendly service. Hand soap was available in a push dispenser in the bathroom, and shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were also in dispensers in the shower. The room (a standard double with two queen beds) was fairly spacious, much bigger than at other hotels charging the same price. I used the free airport pick-up and drop-off, which was very convenient with a little planning (it leaves on the hour and you generally schedule it in advance).
Cons: My complaints concerning the Red Lion on the River are minor. Room-hallway soundproofing wasn't great -- I could hear anything in the hallway at or above moderate volume. No fans in the bathroom but post-shower condensation vanished once the door was opened. I could have used more outlets for convenient charging of my devices.

Pros: Even though I didn't have a room facing the river, I was at the far end of the hotel and had trees which cooled the room down a bit...and I loved being able to open a patio door for the breeze!
Cons: I was a little disappointed that the check in person failed to mention that my assigned room was at the opposite end of the check in area...An extremely long walk after retrieving my suitcase out of the car...however there was an elevator entrance just outside my room at the far end of the parking lot that I was able to take advantage of after returning from dinner with a friend...I just wish people would think one step ahead in order to make life a bit easier.

Pros: Convenient location, some rooms water view fair resturant, no bed spreads I like that.
Cons: They demand to run your credit card for $25.00 for incidentals. It wlil be credited back to your card with in nine days. Should be mentioned before booking on their kayak advertising , would have been a deal breaker for me.

Pros: Loved the view and location. Room was spacious and had accomodations for two or more people nicely. The soaps and shampoos were restocked as needed.
Cons: The extra blanket in the closet had bugs in it both live and dead. The bathtub had silverfish in it daily. The ac unit made a very loud buzzing noise for the first 30 or so minutes after it was turned on. And the toilet would only fully flush about every third time.

Pros: We wanted to have a better room than the one given to us as a river facing one... especially to have fresh air. Lorkeya, at the front desk, did a terrific job and upgraded us to a terrific suite that just made the stay truly incredible. Lorkeya - you ROCK!!!
