A recently renovated property with a detail oriented friendly staff. Just a block from the beach, 1 mile to the Queen Mary and a short drive to Disneyland and Knotsberry farms. There are loads of restaurants in the surrounding area. The hotel has a pool and a small workout room. Rooms have a gentle homey feel. *Update: Complimentary Continental breakfast is not available because of COVID19 restrictions. FREE: Parking.

Pros (+) Great location, check in and check out was super easy.

Pros (+) The staff was great. A very clean hotel.
Cons (-) This hotel is out dated. Needs paint and upgraded bathrooms. Carpet is worn so it looks dirty, which it isnt. It also needs more parking. Has one third that it needs. Our car was three deep. Also this is not the best neighborhood!!! Y-fi didn't work most of the time. The continental breakfast could be upgraded also. 2 cerals, coffee, juice, bananas and chocolate chip mini-muffins. That was it.

Pros (+) Reasonably priced, close to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bus station and attractions.
Cons (-) Awoke in the middle of one of the nights to a honking car in the parking lot. Lots of traffic noise in this location. Poor breakfast choices. No air conditioning in the hallways.

Cons (-) everything cancelled our reservations I would never consider staying at the Vagabond. The male at the desk was very inconsiderate. No customer service.
