Be cautious of what the resort fee includes, most of the time it’s nothing that equals up, but certainly adds to the final bill significantly
Verified travelerDec 2025
Look for rooms in your budget and understand the hidden resort fees.

Pick a newer hotel with similar rates.

Stayed at Bellagio
I've had good hotel experiences at the Bellagio at the Venetian Strip access I think is the best and then exploring your hotel and the hotels around you everything does take longer - walking from one hotel to the next but its a great scene, good shows and lots of good restaurant choices. if you're into shopping, also a good location. Cirque de Soleil "O" show was excellent at the Bellagio.

Horseshoe and Flamingo are both great locations and close enough to get to everything on the strip

Pick a hotel downtown or further up strip. Plan around experiences you want enjoy.

Stayed at Paris Las Vegas
Luxor is pretty cool and inexpensive. Also you can avoid the resort fees and still stay close by staying at the Best Western Plus or Marriott. Planet Hollywood has the best of both worlds as there are inexpensive places to eat along the miracle mile. Unfortunately Paris has primarily pretty expensive and some of the resorts in that area are just getting too pricey even by current day inflation standards. As such I would avoid places like Paris, Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars Palace, or the Wynn. Dining options while they are very good they are pretty much over priced at this point considering a burger there will run you close to 30 dollars and you can walk less than half a mile to get a similar quality burger with fries and a drink with less of a crowd for around $10 at the ketchup bar on the miracle mile. You really don't gain much for the money considering resort fees and closet of amenities by staying at Paris or some of the other mentioned Resorts as the room quality elsewhere will be pretty much the same. You are just paying for a premium for the brand at this point I would suggest some of the other hotels listed here and either walking to Paris or the others if you want to check it out or taking the monorail or Uber as you don't have to stay there to play there or still get the same experience. A lot of the places on Fremont street are also stepping up and are much more reasonable.

Know where, on the strip, you most want to visit and book a hotel based on that. - South end of the strip is more themed, family-friendly hotels. the north end is high-end, very posh, designer hotels. Mid-strip are the hotels with the more famous attractions: Bellagio fountains, Venetian, Paris Hotel, Sphere, etc
NoeJun 2025
Location is important but don’t be afraid of looking at hotels to stay around the Las Vegas strip, not just on The Strip. Understand the group you are with and what their needs are. Some hotels are more geared towards adults and others geared more towards families.
IvanJul 2025
Book a hotel near the monorail to make it easier to travel up and down the strip.

-some areas on the strip are not necessarily the nicest. Please do your research before booking your stay.
MathewApr 2025
I’ve enjoyed both staying on the strip and downtown on Freemont. Value tends to favor Freemont while the location on the strip tends to favor more choices. If things like card rooms and available pools are important, make sure to do research before booking.
JeffreyMay 2025
We experience more fun on Fremont Street compared to the strip activities, which are much more expensive.

Stayed at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
Paris is central and is walkable to most popular places .

Focus on location as well on what are your plans
RobertFeb 2025
I always like to stay in the middle of the strip but there's new areas being developed that I'd like to visit one of these days. Some tips on booking hotels is to always check with the hotel directly. They usually have the best deals. And make sure to sign up for their rewards and use your card EVERYWHERE. You'll start racking up comps in no time.
