Pros: Nothing. Hertz did not have an available car from me at the location my reservation time, even though I made AND PAID FOR the reservation in advance. The location not only ran out of cars hours before my reservation, but they did not think to even call me to tell me that they will not be able to honor my reservation. I had to commute almost two hours to reach the Hertz location. I only found out AFTER reaching the Hertz location that my reservation would not be honored. The location also refused to assist me with my dilemma. I am STILL actively trying to get my money back for a service they refused to provide.Cons: Confirm the location will have a car when a reservation is made in advance. I made the reservation over a week in advance. There is NO REASON AT ALL for Hertz to not have a car ready for me when I arrived.

Pros: Staff who brought the car to me was really nice, the female at the counter a little ornery but with my kindness she warmed up. Rental experience overall was excellent. Ford Escape extremely comfortable. Process quick.
Pros: Maureen was very efficient (and nice)! Check in was speedy but professional. She even gave me a quick run through of features/buttons on my car (as a NYer, I don't drive that often and having driven Hondas for most of my life, it took me a little while to figure out where everything was on my rental Chevy.)Cons: This National is located in a hotel, and the check in/check out desk was a little hard to find. I ended up following signage up to the 8th floor parking deck at first. Luckily, I ran into Maureen on the way and she brought me back to the desk (down a hallway to the left of the lobby). Other issue was getting the car out of the deck. The deck is a paid parking deck that services the hotel as well, and apparently they don't have a system in place for handling the rental cars. When driving out, deck attendants told me I should have grabbed a ticket at the deck first, checked out my car, and THEN paid for parking on the way out?!? Made no sense, and I had to wait at the gate for 5 minutes while they verified my information.

Friendly and Easy pick-upPros: The associates were very friendly and nice, helped me load up the rental car with all my stuff. Great value for money.Cons: I really hated that I got two sets of keys and they were stuck together, so I always had this bulky ring with 2 keys and 2 fobs on it. They apparently need to have it like that so the keys are together if/when the car is sold, but it's incredibly inconvenient. What if I lost them? Which I didn't, but what if? Also the fact that I couldn't just put the keys in my pocket was very frustrating. Additionally, the car wasn't clean on the inside or outside, but that didn't bother me too much since I was driving out to the country, but I just thought I would mention it.

It's a smaller location, so there's opportunity for free upgrades when vehicles are not in.Cons: This is an Enterprise problem, not this location, but if you pick up after 2-3pm, drop off really should extend to the end of the day... I ended up paying for an extra day, but well worth it.

Great servicePros: A small super friendly business in the middle of Jersey City. I needed to rent a car on short notice, they had what I wanted at a competitive price I dodn't have to go out to the airport to get a car - they were near by and it could not have been better
Pros: So the staff member upon picking it up asked if I wanted to add easy pass which I said yes to and then it never got added since it didn't work at any of the tolls. Also, he never said anything about returning the car with a full tank. When we got the car it was less than a quarter full and we dropped it off with half a tank and then found out it was supposed to be full? What? Why wasn't this in our contract or told to us? The car kept dropping the blue tooth for our phone when we were trying to play musicCons: The staff should have told us about how full the tank needed to be upon returning and they should have told us about the E-ZPass not being added when we thought we were using it. I called the budget location that I was going to be picking the vehicle up from that’s were things took a turn. The guy could barely speak English the vehicle that I reserved was not there. And it was not going to be there for three or four days. I could get no clear answers. The guy basically said that he cannot help me even though had a reservation. Cons: I was charge $25 in Boston for returning the car earlier ?!?!?!? I will be disputing this charge as soon as I'm back in Jersey City. I made reservation to pick up the car around 9:00 am and to return next day around 4:00 am and that exactly when I return the car. I was told that because reservation was made for a full day by the Budget office in Jersey City from 11:00 am(when I came to pick up the car) till 11:00am there is a fee for returning CAR EARLY - I have never experience to be charged because I return a car earlier. The funny thing is that I repeated 3 times in Jersey City office that I would be returning the car by 4:00 and don't need till 11:00 am and they repeated 3 times that this was just formality and I could return the car whenever I wish to.
