I reserved a car. I arrived and we were sent to a different counter where 60+ people were lined up. Bottom line, there were NO CARS AVAILABLE. Don’t take a reservation if you don’t have cars for people.Reviewed Apr 21 2024

Check in process very slow. Waited in line (at shared Avis counter) for a full minutes to check-in. Then waited another 15 minutes for car to be ready. That was with 3-4 agents working the desk and having done a pre-check in online ahead of time. Wish the check-in process could be more streamlined. Agents were all friendly. Terrible experience. I waited in a 20 minute line to get registered. As soon as I registered, they told me to step aside and wait because my car wasn’t ready. So I did. With about 50 other people. After 40 minutes, I asked about the car and was told it would be “awhile.” After 60, they offered me a smaller car than the one I reserved. This was for a $650 rental. At that price, I wasn’t expecting deep discount service. After that, I called their 800 number and cancelled the reservation. I walked up to the Hertz counter, rented a better vehicle for less money and walked out the door with my keys 10 minutes later. I’m still fighting with Budget for a full refund. And be aware, they are partnered with Avis, so I wouldn’t expect much from them either.Reviewed Oct 23 2023

Made a reservation online and included our flight info. Flight was delayed an hour. Looked online, and the website said the airport location would wait until all incoming flights with reservations had landed. Arrived to find the Budget counter closed (unlike almost all of the other rental car counters). Called the customer service number, and it was closed. Ended up Ubering to our hotel. Called the airport location in the morning (2 hours after after they opened), and no one answered. Called the general customer service number, and they told me my reservation should be held automatically for 24 hours and that they would adjust my reservation to account for the fact I would have the car for a day less, but to go out asap to pick up the car. Ubered back out to the airport to be told that I couldn't pick up the vehicle until that evening. When I asked why the difference between what customer service told me and their website, I was told they didn't have a vehicle for me, and they could put me in a larger vehicle, but I'd have to pay for the added expense. Canceled my reservation and will not ever try and rent from them again.Reviewed Oct 9 2023

When I booked there was an option for about $10.00 per day for insurance. We took it. When we got to the rental desk we were told that it did nothing, it only protected the third party. Not us or budget. This is very deceptive practice.Reviewed Sep 27 2023
